Artifacts in during POST with a Radeon 9550???

I have a Powercolor Radeon 9550. It can post but the problem is the text is all blocky and unreadable instead of the usual black background, I get multiple colors.

BTW, the card is from a friend of mine, she says she just replaced her P.C.'s PSU with a new one. Buliging Capacitors were found in the old PSU. Take note this card was run in that same P.C. with the Bad PSU.

Is it safe to say that this card is wasted? Or will a Flashing of the Card's Bios solve the problem?

try to replace the PSU 1st then isolate the vid card.

In regards to your suggestion, I already did. Still the same result. Artifacts in post. Still testing in another rig as of the moment.

1 of the memory chip is defective. have green valley fix. it. P500 raman ila charge

Yeah its a good idea if you test it on another computer. Defective motherboard rarely affects videocards. To be sure just test it on another PC. This may vary well be a videocard problem. Since this usually happens to retiring VCs.

have tried it in a total of 4 rigs (p4+via mobo, p3+via mobo, athlon+via mobo), but problems persist. Maybe its time na gyud to go to green valley.

Yeah but I doubt a corrupted videocard can still be fixed.
