Vista is garbage. Period.
Well it is like virtual memory in windows xp... it can help you machine to boost if you got small memory installed.. it will used your harddrive space instead...
That is something i do not believe, even at 5400rpm the internal hard drive is faster. The flash memory device serves as an additional memory cache—that is, memory that the computer can access much more quickly than it can access data on the hard drive.
its suppose to BOOST your RAM by using a flash memory instead of RAM, if u lack ram for vista readyboost is one way to go
it does work only to a certain point. One can benefit if he's got minimal RAM. 1GB and below can benefit from it. 2G and above-- no difference. Readyboost may pale in comparison to HDD when it comes to data transfer rate but HDD can't beat the flash drive's access time be it sequential data or not. No moving parts = instant data access.Originally Posted by EarlZ
