Enable remote desktop on the target computer ( Control Panel > Systems > Remote )
Under your guest computer ( the computer that you are using ) goto Run and type mstsc ( this brings up the remote desktop connection panel )
Assumed you already know the external IP ( if you are connecting via internet ) or local IP ( if via lan ) input the required IP,username,Password. )
Enjoy.


If you would prefer some 3rd party external program with advance features research and study Remotely Anywhere, If you want simple you can use the windows built-in or Team Viewer.

Just download any VNC servers, eg. WinVNC, RealVNC.etc...

Run the server to the remote pc you want to access, run the viewer to the PC where you want to access the remote PC. You will need the I.P. address of the remote PC.
