    Default Component wattage

I've had this problem for a while now, powering up my system is hit or miss. 90% of the time I press the power button, nothing happens. Sometimes I get lucky and it does power up. Obviously I don't have enough power. I currently have an Antec NeoPower 650 and with 4 HDs, 8gigs of RAM, DVDRW, I've even had to get a 7600GT to replace my older card and that wasn't enough. I'm currently posting this on my laptop because I'm so fed up trying my luck in power up my desktop. I've looked around and the power calculators seem to be outdated and not very specific.

    My questions are ...

... is there a way by way of manuals or tech papers to find specific wattage requirements for specific pieces of hardware?
... is there a good updated power calculator out there?
... if not, would people be interested in submitting specific hardware wattage requirements into a database for use in an online calculator that I would develop? Of course you'd have to know what you are talking about when you do submit because I can't verify your submissions.

    Much thanks.

Assumed that your powersupply is not faulty, the next hardware to investigate would be the ram.. try giving it 2.2v and also increase the MCH/NB voltage by 1-2 notches.

Also post your complete system specs so we can help you better.

Calculator found here just add +25% more wattage to be safe.
