Default Equitable PCI Banks "re-bagged" as BDO Banks

Has anybody noticed that most Equitable PCI Banks have been "re-baged" as BDO banks?

IIRC, did'nt EPCI and BDO "merge" or something?

The two branches here in Mandaue were changed somewhere around January-February. Also, I recently noticed that the three Equitable PCI Banks along Magallanes have also been "re-baged" as well.

    Question:

I have an Equitable PCI Bank ATM payroll account, and just recently I've been experiencing problems withdrawing from this "re-baged" banks' ATM. Something about my branch (Equitable PCI Bank infront of SM) being unavailable or the ATM being unable to complete my transaction.

Should this be a cause of alarm for me?

    Any comments are welcomed.

    @MODS:

Forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong thread.

Please have this transferred if necessary.

    Thanks.

wut's re-baged? i believe the two banks did not merge.. instead bdo actually BOUGHT epci. have u tried withdrawing from bdo atms? coz u can without charge, since they're owned by bdo anyway.

What he meant is that giputos ang atm ug bag nya gi "re-baged" lol patya imong maestra dong ha? pataka rag tudlo hehe so ang problema ani karon is unsaon nimo pag withdraw nga na "re-baged" naman.

Now for real : For all your transactions it has logs in any atm so what you should do is to notify the withdrawing bank right away which in this case the Equitable-PCI branch in SM.. provide the information like that exact date, time of your transaction, what kind of transaction (in this case withdrawal) and then the amount.. normally it will take 10 working days to resolve that kind of problem.

grss1982: Yeah it should. I can no longer deposit to my own Equitable-PCI ATM savings account. My solution was to open a 'real' BDO ATM
account and later visit my Equitable-PCI maintaining branch to discontinue my ATM. According to EPCI-Fuente, they'll be switched over to BDO's
new system by April 12 so I have to visit them before then.

In your case, you need to probably talk with your HR department if your officemates are experiencing the same thing. Payroll account man
di-ay na so dili ka basta basta maka request discontinuation. Good luck bai. Temporary glitch ra ni while both banks adjust their systems to
ensure consistency, reliability, and of course security.

wala na siya probs mga bro and sis, kay regular client ko sa EPCI, now BDO, some epci banks are now converted to BDO, pero maski na convert na na imo branch karon, valid lng gihapon na kay name ra man ana nila ang na change ang files ana nila mao man lng gihapon, nag start ang conversion Feb this year, and they are expecting all branches to be converted to bdo a year after then, unya after ma convert na imo branch diin ka may account you will still be given another year para i surrender imo old atm para ilisan ug bdo nga atm, these are all for formalities sake, in other words kanag milyones nimo nga naa nila dili na mawagtang, yaw lang kaguol. Overall assessment, ok ila system, pero i would recommend PNB, specifically ilang internet banking system.

although worlwide ang acceptability sa BDO nga debit card, dili siya practical. It took me a couple of years to realized how i lost 15,000 pesos in every 50,000 using my debit card for overseas withdrawals

nag merge nana sila. they declared that. it appeared though that BDO bought Equitable since ilahang name ra ang gibutang sa banks nga previously EPCI... i dunno, pro tingale mas dako ug shares ang BDO so they practically own the merged banks. both banks prior to the merger, promised nga smooth japon atong transactions with them...that if you have an equitable pci atm you can use a BDO atm machine for this (and vice versa) without additional charge.
