my computer specs:
AMD Sempron 2600, Gigabyte board Socket 754
120 gig harddisk, 1gig memory, 128mb video card

bro tan awa ilang jumper. one should be in slave & d other in Master mode or ilisi ug laing RAM. try lang

Pull-out imong PSU then open if theres any blown capacitor on it.

Ok man settings sa jumpers sa imu HDs... so if ok pud ang watts sa imu power supply/PSU... then walay brown capacitors sa imu motherboard then it might be the RAM & the RAM slots. Just take it out, clean both RAM & its slot in the board & do a trial-&-error method in distinguishing which RAM or RAM slots is not working by just listening to a long beep which is bad. So whoever gets a short beep is eyyy okey!
So use the RAM, together w/ the good RAM slot, that makes a short beep with your new hard disk.
(note: try also doing a trial-&-error method on the HD especially the new one since there might be also a big possibility that it is the new HD that's damaged.)
Well, as long as you still have the receipt with the warranty then by all means you can always return it for a new HD replacement. Right?
