just bought a new monitor today.. but there's a problem in displaying the screen.
the sides of the screen gets cut off.. i have to scroll to the side to view the part which can't be seen. it's like it's too long to display.
i'm using 1440x900 resolution, which is the optimal resolution of the monitor..
any idea what's wrong?

EDIT: when i check the info on the on-screen menu (the menu using the buttons on the monitor),
the following info is displayed:
Digital
60.0kHz 60Hz PP
1280x960
why is that 1280x960, when i am setting it to 1440x900

Try adjusting it using Nvidia Forcware or Catalyst Control Center - in display manager menu. or try updating the videocard drivers and LCD Monitor driver.

some video cards uses the wrong resolution.
I also encountered it with viewsonic.

I haven't found a solution for it. I installed the latest drivers no improvement.

i would like to ask are you using DVI or the VGA cable?

i'm using DVI cable.. i'm suspecting too that digital input only supports 1280x960..?

just switched to analog.. it now supports 1440x900 resolutions..
shit. they should have posted on their website that DVI only supports 1280x960.

Where can i buy analog to dvi cables? I have an analog CRT monitor, and i want to use a digital connection..

bro, ako gamit samsung 940bw. ang analog no problem pero ang dvi blurred ang iya text but naako na kuha nga instructions sa proper settings for dvi to correct the problem. and it was solved.

after pud ni update ko ug display driver, solve napud ang problema bisan dili i-modify ang settings.

as of now, dvi 1440x900 75hz no problem. try nako pangita to settings bro, ako i-post diri and u try it, maybe it will work.
