Misconduct by university professor - what to do about it?

I was under a professor who had more absences than some of the students, didn't give a single 'lecture' (my definition of a lecture being a session where the professor teaches and students listen) - all our learning was from powerpoint presentations created and conducted by other classmates... and the professor has been doing this for years, but nothing has been done about it.

What must I do if I want justice to be served?

Well, I wrote a formal complaint, addressed it to the dean, the vice president of academic affairs, the head of SAS, the department chairman, and the university registrar, after which I had a meeting with the dean, who said action would be take but until now, nothing has been done. This professor has tenure, so doesn't care about what he/she does.

I am no longer under the professor, but I will have some subjects with him/her in the future. From what i hear from current students, they still are never sure if naay klase or di, and they don't understand what is expected of them because plans keep changing.

I plan to meet with the university president, and see if he takes any real action. If he doesn't though... what must I do? Go to the media? This is unfair..I really love my course and want to learn, but when a professor who handles more than one MAJOR subject is so bad, it's just not right.

If anybody from your school won't do any actions, you can report it to CHED. You can write a formal complaint about your concerns.

grave misconduct can defeat security of tenure as long as legal process would be undertaken.
