hello! I got 2 adult female Red-Ear Slider and I'm looking for a male RES so my RES can mate.

sir, they are almost 3 years old. one is 7.2 inches and 7.5 inches

what do you feed them?

i read from the internet na depende na sa iyang size. They are ready to mate by the time they have reached 4 inches. When they were still hatchings, i feed them turtle sticks, fruits, vegies and superworms. Karon, I give them vegies or fruits 2x or 3x per week and fish food (protein) once per week. I feed them every other day. Do you have RES too?

I even see them do a courtship behavior whenever I put them in my 150gal tank.

how big are your turtles? You have an expensive aquarium but in fairness, its very beautiful. about my setup, I bought a plastic drum 250gal from Taboan. I had it cut vertically and made it into a turtle tank. There is an area in the tank that is exposed to direct sunlight so i don't have problems with UV. i also placed a wood for their basking place.

they are about three inches big. as of the moment, nagkaon sila ug cuttlebone sa ilang feeding dish. kapoi kaayo magsige clean sa ilahang tank so naa koi feeding dish. nindut pud imo idea. my dad used to cut barrels in half kai nagbuhi mi sa una ug mga isda. but since we moved to a pretty tight space, nag-tank rako nya walai lugar sa gawas...

I did not know RES would eat cuttlebone until you told me so. hehehe. dugay na ko ga buhi pero wala ko kabalo ana. Good thing there is this forum. My setup is inexpensive and works pretty well. I also have a separate feeding place for them kay they are very messy eaters. Do you know of anyone with a mature male RES?
