Default Why do i see 2 Windows XP on start-up???

ok,..... i formatted my OS HDD yesterday,.... and installed Windows XP Pro. SP2,.....

when everything was complete,.... Windows would just boot directly,......
now,.... when i would turn on my computer,..... it would ask me to choose w/c Windows i would like to boot from,..... (i only install'd the OS once)

(oh yeah,... and after installing the OS,..... i OC'd my RAM and CPU,.... when OC'ing, sometimes i would have a failure to boot Windows or sometimes the whole system reset's by its self) its stable now,.....

so why do i see 2 Windows XP on start-up
has this ever happen to u guys?
and wat kind i do to make Windows boot directly?

make sure you only have ONE operating system on your harddisk.... bisag duha pa na ka partition...

you can just edit the Boot.ini file to remove those second option... take the risk pud when editing it.. else dili naka ka-boot...
analyze each line.. or you may google boot.ini configuration sa net.

Kuwang lang kag tug bai hehe
Normally that's the process.. when you install XP for the first time it will have the basic set of drivers and maybe you still have the CD installer from your CD ROM drive and maybe you have install and new version of XP.. guess what you can fix that

Go to My Computer -> Properties -> Advance Tab

There you can see Start up and Recovery Section -> Under System Start up -> you can see default Operating System

Make sure you choose the Windows XP that you wish to start/boot up .. you can also Edit the start up options manually by clicking the Edit button.. there it will opn the boot.txt file you can comment start up sequest by putting using the " " in you keyboard lalalala. Goodluck!
