I heard Yaw-Yan is now a very versatile martial art. During the time I practiced Yaw-Yan, naa sila'y stick fighting (that was about 3 years ago) and now I heard that they now have ground fighting, patterned after Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, preparing their fighters for different MMA events.

yup..its nice to know that Yawyan has grown along with the sport they usually participated which is MMA...pero sad to know nga wala silay daug sa URCC..dili sa nang hinaway ko sa yawyan(kay lifetime member man pud ko sa yawyan) pero kuwang pa jud kaayo ang ground techniques

I think they're still new when it comes to ground fighting, maybe in time they'll improve drastically. Di diay to Yaw-Yan si Cary Bullos?

I dont know ha if this is true...pero mao ni akong na gather nga news...Ang Founder sa yawyan dili jud gani musugot sudlan ang iyang art ug lain nga system.

    hmmm.. let me check

Karatedo- for its precision and decisive techniques plus focus

    Taekwondo- fluid kicking combinations

Pencak Silat- take downs, leg catches and sweeps ( there are lots of them)

Sikaran- close range, unorthodox power kicking

Vovinam- leg hands combination plus weaponry ( not to mention the aerobatic don chan)

    hehehehe... mao sad na ako

actually i started training with Max Tian Sensei sa baseline ("KI") and at that time, wa pa ko kahibalo
nga naa deay 2 styles (KI and AIKIKAI).. later on I trained with Allan Tan Sensei.. but Tat Kon Tou
got my attention and I joined and trained with them for over 5 years.. now i'm back to AIKIKAI Style,
kay wala may Tat Kon Tou diri sa akong nahimutangan karon...
pareho ra man na sila bai (KI and AIKIKAI)... they all stemmed from Morihei Ueshiba and principles lang ang lahi. I ued to train sa Ki under Romy Kho and I also did karate. But I prefer aikido kay mas graceful ug paspas sa karate...
