@ KlaytoN: You cannot conlclude nga gpasagdan sa Ginoo nga ang Iyang boutang anak madisgrasya ug mamatay. YOu can never ever fanthom God's plan.

Even sa imo kinabuhi you will never know what will happen in the future. And whatever will happen I'm pretty sure that your Creator did plan it...

God has plans and has purpose for his plans...Never question his doings..

This alone shows that you dont know what you are talking about or havent understood it yet.

Prayer is not about HOPING for something. And yes , I would not be amazed if that is how you interpret PRAYER . That answers all 4 questions of yours. You pray all the time for GOOD THINGS . Wala kalamidad , walay bakakon , walay pag antos and etc. And dili gani nimo ma commit , asa kaha ang Ginoo ?

Hope I enlightened you that the very reason why these things are happening tungod kay Iyahang gift of FREEDOM nato .

The funny thing is , when all good things are happening in your life , where occurences are in you favor , do you even remember , acknowledge or thank God for not taking a VACATION ?

No. He is not like us, so He doesn't need to rest - He never did. He created time and space so He cannot be limited to it. However He is present not through His essence, only through His knowledge for He is All Knowing, All Seeing, All Hearing. Saying He is omnipresent is saying that He is subject to time and space coz even 'everywhere' ends.

If what you are projecting is that prayer is communication with God
what happens to your communication if God is absent and deaf, and on vacation?

Aren't praying for the good things good?

Who in his normal mindset pray for the BAD THINGS?

The fact is staring right into this world, PRAYERS are impotent and lame.

We are created in His image

There are lots of FORMS of PRAYERS.

You are now talking about WISHES and REQUEST . Although these can come in the form of PETITIONS also. I am only tellign tnhis ebcause you are closely saying that " Prayers are IMPOTENT expressions of hope".

If I pray just to be answered , then my FREEDOM would be defeated why I have it. Why do I need to work hard and be a good example when God cna grant me a million dollars because I prayed that I can win the lottery jackpot ?

Do not twist that prayer is also for bad things , I never said that. GIkan na nimo .

Why do you think ordinary people become EXTAORDINARY HUMAN BEINGS in the form of SAINTS ? Isnt it because of prayer? Therefore , it is not IMPOTENT nor LAME.

Ngutana ko nimo MOONGLOW ... unsay gi ampo nimo na wala pa nimo nakuha ? Aron makita na ang katag .

Salams to u MoonGlow...but still no. We are not created to resemble Him or be like Him. When they say God created Adam in His image, it meant that he was given the ability to speak, listen and see when he wants.

    Eid Mubarak to you LaBelleza

You are saying as if prayer is like a child asking for a candy
"unsay gi ampo nimo na wala pa nimo nakuha?"
No, I do not pray like that
    but that is what happens
    when most people pray
    to hope for something good

People pray for a good job
even pray to make through a visa application
those are impotent hopes, prayers they call them
but no, I do not pray like that
prayers like that are impotent and lame

Allah does not enter His creation and He is not to be compared to it. No human has power like God.

"La Hawla Wa La Quwata illa Billah." (There is no might or power anywhere at anytime, except the Might and the Power of Allah."

God is in us yes, as in in our hearts.
