So then, let me help you with that, Sand Man. Let me quote wiki:

A hypnotic induction is the process undertaken by a hypnotist to establish the state or conditions required for hypnosis to occur.

Some argue that a hypnotic induction is a necessary process designed to cause the hypnotic subject to enter a state of increased suggestibility, during which their critical faculties are reduced, and they are more prone to accept the commands and suggestions of the hypnotist. This state is often known as "trance." [1]

source: Hypnotic induction - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
While not all hypnosis require the 'induction', some expert could still state: "It can be safely stated that nine out of ten hypnotic techniques call for reclining posture, muscular relaxation, and optical fixation followed by eye closure."

    Also,

Contrary to a popular misconception—that hypnosis is a form of unconsciousness resembling sleep—contemporary research suggests that hypnotic subjects are fully awake and are focusing attention, with a corresponding decrease in their peripheral awareness.[6] Subjects also show an increased response to suggestions.[7] In the first book on the subject, Neurypnology (1843), Braid described "hypnotism" as a state of physical relaxation accompanied and induced by mental concentration ("abstraction").[8]

I am not saying nga this information is valid and that I believe in hypnosis. I am merely presenting the available information. It is up for you to decide if motuo mo or dili. But I guess di na kinahanglan pa nga lalisan. The bottomline: tinuod man or not ang hypnosis, better prepare yourself. Agree?
