naa nako anxiety attacks since high school. but fulfilling kaau once you get over that fear and when u look back you feel stupid.

EVERYTHING IS IN THE MIND RA JUD! I admit Obsessive Compulsive ko. I have the tendency to relate the life of others to mine.. once naa illness or actions gibuhat ang uban feeling nako ma ingon ana pud ko ehehehe

pero as u dig deeper as in u talk to yourself. you realize ikaw lang gabuhat sa imong problems. I know it's hard to think otherwise kay it's in our mind, we deal with our mind (:

best way to fight anxiety attacks/ panic attacks kay to keep yourself busy. and avoid coffee maka trigger gyud sya.

Default Thank you for this Wonderful WONDERFUL Thread!

First of all, I want to thank everyone for this wonderful thread! Reading each reply from fellow forumers helped me a great deal. It made me realize that maybe I'm just over reacting or I should just stop thinking about these worries. Peksman, the symptoms that were mentioned in previous pages matched what I have been experiencing these past few weeks (fast heart beat, cold sweats, unexplainable terror, etc). I feel a bit better now after reading all these posts. I thought I was going crazy and alone. Daghan diay ta, even the mere thought of it already comforts me. This thread helped me to track the root of my terror and I want to share it with you. Sa next post lang ha kay taas2x na ni.

yup, sometimes upset stomach can trigger the attacks especially when acids shoot up. so better di pagutom or di sad palabi kaun especially oily or spicy foods.

on lovelifes as a root cause, pwede kaayu. there could be any root causes, any tragedies or misfortunes, fears, abuses especially during childhood, etc.

on movies, take yourself gradually in dealing with horror movies or watching thrilling games, especially kanang duwa nga para-daug bitaw, sometimes they are triggers. but as you learn to deal with them, you'll get over these things. bottom line is, don't be too hard on yourself when dealing with this disorder. set yourself one challenge and one achievement at a time.

i've had a talk with a psychiatrist before sa .. then ingon siya di man dapat nimo e avoid ang mga butang na na fear nimo..

FACE YOUR FEARS, ENTERTAIN the Horrible and morbid thoughts, kay once you always avoid, it goes back and back raman gud.

He said, na why not think more of the things that you fear, as in bisag morbid na kaayo go with it, then after ana ma relieve man ka. Avoidance sa feared situation man usually ang impulse sa person, but if you think of it more, mura usual thought nalang na nimo and

yeah, the truth with the movie "batman returns," if you can't handle your fears, be the fear yourself... something like that. remember, the thing is not avoidance but gradual approach of the challenge. go on your own pace. then next time challenge yourself a bit more as you progress. sometimes you hit a slack, just go on, then try again until you mastered dealing with your fears.

mao gyud. ako grabe ako struggle sauna. OC man gud ko, there was an instance na gi news sa TV na naay dad na gi kill niya ang iyang family because nag suffer sya nag schizophrenia then after ato, mura ko na tralala coz feeling nako killer pud ko haahahaha! I felt na Schizophrenic pud ko atay kaau. I was very stressed at that time kay I'm going home to pinas and i'm going to miss my family sa canada. I was so afraid to be left alone with my nieces kay I feared na basin ma Schizophrenic pud ko.

ahaka lagi, I always check on the internet for assurance. That's the problem if Obsessive Compulsive ka, part of anxiety / panic attacks. Then what I did, I checked on the net to solve why I was thinking that way, and I found an answer na I was an OC (Obsessive Compulsive) Usually, if OC ka, you have fears that you might hurt your family, but this doesn't mean na Schizophrenic ka, far from it.

Psychiatrist doesn't help you if ikaw mismo you won't help yourself. What psyciatrist would do is LISTEN! hehehehe and now, I don't get along with those fears anymore, I'm not afraid. I just consider those morbid thoughts as my SYNTHETIC THOUGHTS!!!

Basta! we are not alone! daghn na ta! heheheh

OC persons live with fears lang gyud. ): you're afraid to cause harm and damage to other people.
