i don't like being approached for a card reading, like what happened yesterday.

i did try tarot cards. ka usa and because somebody i know lent me his deck and they had very nice illustrations. but i wouldn't rely on it to tell my future.

    Greetings Everyone,

I would like to commend Galadriel for opening up a section on "Spirituality and Occult" for Istorya.net visitors. I used to contribute or post something under the thread of "Haunted House" for "Life & Leisure - Destinations" but was surprised when this was moved under this category.

Actually this is my comeback! This is my first post after some months of being inactive. I was busy struggling with my fulltime and freelance job. But now the "Wheel of Fortune" is upright and not reversed so this is something positive for me when I had my latest Reading yesterday afternoon (August 12, 2006) with a fellow Tarot Reader in our dormitory. He is a first year college student from USC Main. I confirmed all his readings of what he saw in his cards because recently for the past weeks I got a new job offer and my web projects for my freelance are promising especially that I have contacts from outside the Philippines to outsource their projects to my team. And also I did some readings for him as well.

This thread on "Card Reading" got my attention because I'm a Tarot Reader myself. I don't do this like what you see in Plaza Independencia or near the Municipal hall.. Card Reading is not my cup of coffee, just a hobby to explore beyond human understanding, help others and to get insights or enlightenment.

I started using this card last quarter of 2004 after I joined a spirit questing at a particular house in Dona Rita, Banilad. I'm also a member of Order of the Mystic Arts, a study group here in Cebu that deals on paranormal, healing, herbs, psychic development, divination to name a few but this group is not a coven per se. I also have contacts from NGINIIIG Paranormal Investigation team to learn more.

As a Tarot Reader, before I start my session I always remind the querent (the inquirer) that all decisions should come from them. This reading is purely for insights and enlightenment and should not be treated as a replacement for medical advice, psychological treatment whatever you have in mind as you read my post. The readings are always subordinate to individuals' beliefs and their power to choose who and what they are now and will be. Your life is always your choice.

My mom is so against with this kind of practice cuz it's a bad Karma but my grandma who is also into healing, graphalogy (penmanship reading) and face reading informed me not to change my religion but just acknowledge if I have the gift. Technically speaking, I don't consider myself as a Psychic even if they are satisfied with my readings and received testimonies if a particular event really happened in their lives before and after it took place. Until now I want to prove something that this is not bad Karma.

Reading Tarot is more than just fortune telling, it is also a form of counselling. It is an antique form of divination that predates popular psychology. The tale you are told by the Tarot reader is similar to a myth or parable. It describes a journey that mirrors your path in life. Usually the story is a direct description of what is going to happen although talented readers can tell you much more than that from looking at the symbols in the cards. The true purpose of the cards is to construct a narrative form of your life so that you can make decisions to change your fate.

One time I remember a friend who called me up to give him an advice before he submitted his resignation letter. So I talked to my friend over the phone and gave him the "Analyzing Alternative Spread." Yes he was grateful because I was able to peek of what's going on with his working condition and his colleagues. He had no regrets after he submitted his resignation letter. He was an architect by profession and I hope he's doing well with his work as a freelance.

The entire system of Tarot cards can be described as a pictorial expression of the human condition. The Tarot cards can be compared to a wise friend who we can turn to when we wish to make a wise decision regarding a relationship or a career. The wisdom found inside the Tarot, is actually the same wisdom that is found inside each and every one of us. The whole purpose of a reading is to tell you what you don't know so that you can use your FREE WILL to take appropriate actions that are good for your soul.

    My favorite quotes are:

"Spirituality is not a Religion. Religion divides People."

"There are more things in heaven and earth, than are dreamt of in your philosophy" Hamlet - Shakespeare

"History has shown that what might at one time be considered occult may eventually become science." – Gwydion

" Whether it be nature or nurture, whatever shows up in our chart, awareness is the first step to freedom. " - Adondlei

Yes, this stuff we are discussing right now is against Christian teachings but sometimes I wonder. Why there is so called "Joseph the Dreamer" in the Bible? Interpreting one's dream is a form of divination. And also about the story of the 3 Wise Men who used astrology when they use the star as their guiding light to find baby Jesus?

Is it a sin if you're a Psychic? People nowadays want to find an answer. Yes we are the master of our own destiny but if you know something ahead of time especially if it shed lights then you can say that consulting a Psychic do really help you find the answers you need but then again decision should come from you. Psychics are mediums and are considered gifted.

Well, it's true that some readings don't come true but it's up to you to look for the right reader. Some readers find it hard to read someone especially if the querent is closed minded individual and just want to test the reader if he's a crap.

Humbly speaking I always keep in touch with my psychic friends to shed light in my career. I cannot read my own cards so I exchange readings with a fellow Tarot Reader to give insights.

In my career, it also helped me when a friend of mine from Samar who knows Remote Reading (without using cards) advised me something in my job and it came true. If I did the other way around, I'm sure it will give a negative impact in my career. Now, I'm happy that I have a new job. I am now fully aware of my own strengths and weaknesses. So I hope I shared something positive here.

Last August 9, 2006 I had an invitation from a particular advertising company here in Cebu - the number one Ad company to date. I was invited to talk something on "Creativity and Intuition in Management." That talk was designed for their advertising personnel to learn and understand what intuition is all about especially that they are into advertising. Example, if I give you this particular picture what can you describe or feel about it? "The Look and Feel?" Intuition is the feeling, a sense of some information you can't possibly know through the rational mind. It comes in a lot of forms, you can intuit through sight, sound, smell, even taste.

Another experience that I had was last September 28, 29 & 30, 2005 when I was invited together with Madam Dulz (another Tarot Reader from Tacloban) to join the 42nd Annual Convention at Waterfront Hotel, Lahug, Cebu City for the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP).

This convention was strategically relevent to the personal / professional needs of PMAP members. One of their exhibitors, Q2HR Solutions from Manila contacted me and Madam Dulz to do some Tarot Readings for their booth for 3 days (whole day). Their booth was nicely decorated. The theme was "Playing Your Cards Right." To know more about their company, visit http://www.genesys.com.ph. The activity sponsored by this company is something about Psychometry, that is obtaining information from the person through Card Reading.

I'm not a Wiccan, I'm a solitary eclectic practitioner open to different beliefs and practices.

Lastly, do not consider my post as something against to your beliefs, practices or opinions. This is for educational purpose and should be treated as an open discussion for all the Istorya.net visitors.

me? 50/50. pag positive ang reading, i'd like to believe it. pero pag negative gani, dili ko motuo. hehe

bitaw, i had a card reading for the first time in 1999 (the first of 3 card reading sessions) and most of it came true though dili diha2x dayon. some of it took about a year to come true. that's why i couldn't say nga dili jud ko motuo. siguro coincidence lang. pero i don't have any other explanation man gud.

right now, gusto unta ko magpa card reading na pud. basi diay mogawas sa baraha kung ako bana nagbinuang ba or nagtinarong.
