the first rock album i bought was bon jovi new jersey.. it was unique because the lyrics were written in a small notebook form inside, stapled in the middle (not that 1 piece long paper) & the lyrics were not typewritten, but hand written.. & my other albums were slippery when wet, blaze of glory (w/c was a solo effort & not the band), & keep the faith

bon jovi definitely made rock anthems.. like lay ur hands on me, bad medicine, i'll be there for you, always, bed of roses, u give love a bad name, wanted dead or alive.. there's too many too mention

to say that bon jovi sucks is not logical.. because 1st, each member is talented enough.. tico "the hitman" torres is a pearl endorser, sambora is a fender endorser & i don't think fender would get him a sig he doesnt have the skills.. & unlike the bands now w/c many would only know the vocalist, i actually know the names of each members (just like GnR & MrBig.. bands b4 had actually talent u'd know each of the members' names), david bryan, alec john such, tico torres, ritchie sambora & bon jovi.. & one big difference between a good band from a bad one is that a good band knows how to play live.. & bon jovi actually plays great live, check out live in london (just like DT, steve vai), their real talent really shines when playing live..

ritchie is an underated guitarist.. he definitely knows how to fit his solos.. i love that dry county long solo(kinda like aerosmith's "amazing").. i could only play one bon jovi song (wanted dead or alive..hehe, including the solo - lots of pinch harmonics there btw, hehe) but i'm proud of it..

BTW, their bassist now is Hugh McDonald. and for the record he is the man Behind the bass lines of the famous "living On a Prayer". after alec john Such left the band, he was called for the bass chair again.
