Hi guys, do you agree with the kind of discipline from the old school?

I disagree! Although spanking was commonly used in the past, hitting causes emotional consequences in children's future, including aggressiveness and insecurity. I disagree! ... because it encourages parents to teach violence toward their children, and it prevents children from acting naturally.

    Spare the rod!

Because the result of spanking the child too often too much has a definite effect on his/her psyche.
After the read the book, Autobiography of a Whip, I changed my mind about spanking.

I'm not saying we should spoil the child, we will stil correct them but there are more creative ways to discipline.

    BTW, I'm moving this.
"JUST A WOMAN? Oh honey no!

I am awesome with a splash of bitch and a dash of wonderful.

actually the behaviour of a child depends on the parents. what they see is what they gonna do. gaya gaya to the one's older in w/c they thought doing the right things. when you shout, they will also shout one day, kids will be the mirror of how you handle them. so i dont think old school discipline is good, the way parents hurt the child and the more they do it the more the child will become hard headed. some will fear the parents insted of loving them.

i would go for a sandwich method. before you spank, tell him/her whats his/her mistake. then give the consquence of his/her mistake (avoid spanking as much as possible) like no eating of chocolates, less P50 on the ba-on, etc..., after doing that, tell him/her not to do it again.. i know its kinda "what?!" pero i think its the best way to train a child.

nope.. if sipat na kaayo countan lang ug up to 10.. at least taas2x ang chance nga d gyud mabunalan... kung d gani mada.. let your child stand sa kilid ninyo for 5 mins. straight nga walay lihok2x kay punishment naman na sa ilang part.. d bya na cla pwede d gyud maka lihok... esp. sa mga bata...
