sure, being a lhuillier enabled her to get a fashion education and capital to start her business... but come on! there are tons of people here in the US that are way richer than her! it's her talent and unique taste that made her a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry. do you actually think money was all she needed? come on! she's really good and she deserves her success.

pinoys need to stop thinking that a person is most likely to succeed coz he/she has money. it's that way of thinking that actually impedes a pinoy to succeed. the eternal "victim" mentality. stop looking at other people's successes and start concentrating on how to better your own situation. magsige lang ug pamantay sa uban taw... mao nang way maabtan. sige lang ug salig sa ginikanan ug relatives.

if that was the case, monique didn't need to work and sacrifice so much to create her fashion label. heck, she could just live richly without working. but that's not the case here. she took whatever resources she had and channeled it into something productive. that is something you people did not give her any credit for.
