Para nako, pareha ra ang intel ug AMD karon. Nka gukod najud ang AMD karon. If heat is the main concern on AMD rigs, well lets take "people" for example: Let's compare a Canadian and an Egyptian. An egyptian can live normally under the scorching heat of the desert sun; while a canadian is pretty uneasy in Egypt. Relatively speaking, AMD processors are designed to withstand, under normal clockspeed operations, its own heat generation.

Init o bugnaw, pareha ra sila.... maka upgrade nlang ka, dili pa japon maguba ang cpu. Basta ayaw lang ug overclock. Overclocking shortens the life of the processor.

i agree..overclocking is like using NITRO in a car... suit for a race..for much faster and higher top speed... and after... engines need to be check and change if neccessary... jz like a pc processor.... kng daghan kwarta... dn y not....

before gumagamit ako ng Intel till now. but when ATHLON 64 FX 53 comes out of the market, i think twice..this is really a very fast proc. its a gamer's haven, no doubt this one would kill intel at least for a moment. kaya im planning to buy and setup na on AMD. ipon pa ako pera hehehe.

Intel might be strong in the market but AMD gets its votes from must PC enthusiast especially overclockers and hardware fanatics ( note : those people who knows more all bout computers ). So I go for AMD. We'll never know what AMD might bring up someday but I bet Intel is getting the jeepers out of it. With AMD, you get the same performance to that of Intel but at a lesser price.

The only problem I see with that lineup is the OS.

INTEL is the fastest CPU in the market. No doubt on that. But the price is way too heavy on pockets. The good thing on AMD is the price performance ratio. AMD Athlon™ XP 2500+ Barton is the best when it comes to Price Performance Ratio. It generates greater in performance and reasonable in prices.

winxp 64-bit is not yet optimized for some appz so expect a little buggy on running a 32-bit programs.

na anything is best,may it be amd or intel, as long as it was your personally hard earned money that you use to buy & complete your system

intel not generating hi temps? hehehe since your already talking 64-bit stuff why not try to take a quick look at intels new proc temps..

If the you're running on the average temps, that's not a problem at all. I think both AMD and INTEL CPU's are capable for longer terms, it all depends on the care of the user.
