    photography as a hobby is not about collecting gear... it's about making the photographs. just grab any camera
    available and start taking pictures. then read up, take lessons, find other photographers with the same photographic
    interest/field as yours and watch and study their work. as you go along, your knowledge and skill will grow and
    you'll end up building your own photographic style. from that point on... you'll know what else to buy as you already
    know what you really need.

    If I were to choose, if you're constrained by budget ... get this sigma na lang ... sharp, sharp, and sharp .. one of my fav. lens on a budget.

    thanks bai ... di lang ko anang non DG .. pero kung kakita ka DG version for 800 SGD.. pakipalit lang bai.
    nakapalit ko ug sigma 15-30 sa clubsnaps .. si ritchie ako gipapalit ok kaayo.

    Ning uli si Ritchie diha sa Pinas ron, bag-o lang to kapalit ug 70-200 F4 IS ..makasuya kaayo, naa pud siya 10-22mm. Try nako ug pangita sa ClubSnap, paluli-an lang nako inig uli nako diha sa Cebu.

    70-200 f/4 IS btaw nindut kaayo .. kasuway ko 1/20@200mm kay sharp gihapon.

    i don't need new lenses for now .. pero kung naay 70-200 2.8 for SGD 800 .. mora wa jud tay choice bai palit na lang ta

    mas barato ang 70-200 f/4 IS sa pinas bai compared sa singapore ... last week ngutana ko kang wilson .. 54 or 57k man tingali to

    Tell her to get a Canon 350D or the new Canon 400D. At least she'll find it familiar with the buttons and functions and just stick with the kit lens. 28-70 focal isn't so good when using buildings or except if she'll be using lots of people then. I suggest Canon 400D + kit lens with Sandisk Ultra II 1GB CF.. that should be like more or less $900.
