Hi, i hope this info is not too late for your consumption. I lived near Tacloban City, so i have lots of knowledge about this city and its nearby towns.

During night time, you can visit so many bars to hang out, even in your free day time, there is a lot of clean and decent places to visit. One great attraction of Tacloban is the Country's longest love bridge called SAN JUANICO BRIDGE. You can also see and take a pose with MAC ARTHUR LANDING PARK.

For your adventure needs, i can help too by endorsing some affordable and budget places - like resorts, beaches, dining restos, inns, lodging houses. ALSO, If you wanna do caving adventure or simply R & R activities, hang out on me.

in downtown area, u can check of the following hotels:
    - hotel alejandro (with mini museum pics during leyte landing, japanese occupation and world war II pics)
    - Asia star hotel (beside Cindy's)
    - Hotel Angelo
    - GV hotel
    - there are some new and decent pensionne haus near Divine Word University campus.. try to ask tricycle drivers

of course some historical places u can visit:
    - Leyte landing in Palo
    - the famous San Jaunico bridge conneting Leyte and Samar
    - Family Park near Leyte Park hotel

    For fine dining:
    - try to visit San Rafael's Farm in Babatngon
    - or go roam around and take some nice pictures in Leyte Golf country club and take some swimming in their pool. (this actually a newly-open facility in Tacloban).

600 ang rate sa single room then 750 good for three.
