in some way we may need SK.. i heard from a researcher who were paid by UN to research about SK, there are a few SK units in the country who are even more powerful in function than the barangay captain.. that certain SK Chairman acted like the chief of the barangay.. all the people go to her when they seek help in some ways.. because the people in her community saw that she was working well..
there are also others who even quit school para lang makaserbisyo ug tarong..
if you reason out that SK is useless and it is better off being abolished, then maype abolish lang pud ang senate ug ang congress.. kung buot huna hunaon, mas daghan sk officials ang nagtarong ug trabaho compared to those blabbering senators and congressmen..
you ask why weren't there any publicized accomplishments made by the SK, kay ang mga SK dili trapo who advertises projects and programs.. they also don't have millions of budget to make great projects..
ngano puro basketball ang projects?? kay mao ra man ang gepangayo nga proyekto sa mga kabataan especially out of school youth..
kung naa pud propose nga lain project or program that isn't related to sports, 90% of barangay councils in te whole cuntry do not approve that proposal made by the SK.. so SK always end up having sports related projects..
there are other programs initiated by SK like skills training program or livlihood training programs, only 20% of the youth in the community attends.. ok nalang kayas wala..
More and more sk are doing their job well, so cut them some slack.. those who aren't doing their jobs, matangtang na unta na sila kung ge reklamo na sila sa ombudsman or DILG or the head of the SK concerned..
