ok they can tax CHH but at the end it will be the patients who will bear all the burden cause they just pass those taxes to their bills. so who will be the loser here, it will still be the people and taxes don't event benefit most of them.
is Cebu City govt that desperate to tax every establishment in the city?
non-profit man kaha, so daku unta i sweldo sa mga trabahante.
Did you actually read some of the previous posts? CHH's policy of asking for a 10,000 php deposit prior to admission has absolutely NOTHING to do with their NPO status. Besides, dili ra ang Chong Hua gapangayo ug deposit-it's an SOP in other hospitals here and abroad. So your argument is irrelevant.
Again, CHH can make a profit, but it's what they do with their surplus that matters most.
As for the nurses' salary issue, if I'm not mistaken, government nurses get higher wages because of the 2002 Philippine Nurses Act, which mandates that regularized nurses get at least 13,000 php or higher. (I'm not a nurse, so please verify this information)
That however, comes with a catch. Nurses working in public hospitals are burdened with heavier patient loads, whereas nurses at CHH and other private hospitals (again if I'm not mistaken) handle a maximum of 10 or so patients.
It's understandable why daghan mu reklamo sa presyo, dili man gud ma-appreciate sa tanan ang improvements within the hospital. Just two weeks ago a patient of ours was diagnosed with PTB at a very early stage, mainly thanks to the additions sa radiology department. Had it been at another hospital, I'm pretty sure dili maklaro dayon ang fibrosis.
I may be affiliated with Chong Hua, but that doesn't mean I drink the hospital's Kool Aid. There are policies I don't agree with, but the improvements have been tremendous nonetheless.
for me.
chong hua is best hospital in cebu.
mahal lang ilang services but you can see the facilities are excellent.
Arguably the best hospital outside of Manila. We can't afford to lose this distinguished institution.
