Chinese started doing business when they came here because nobody would employ them. They don't know how to read and write English and Filipino, so the best thing to do to survive is do business or trade.

I am a "chinoy" myself and been raised a a hybrid "chinoy" (lots of filipino friends that i treat equally irregardless of skin color and the size of their eyes). But i was raised in a culture of saving money first before thinking of spending it.

Its not pinoy or chinese, its financial management that can give you good breaks...

hmmmm if ang basihan history lng, traders najud ang insik, turko, long before pa, then ang mga laagan, ang malay, unsapana na atong ancestors daw, mao na sila ni stay diri, pero ang mga traders, nana sila diri, then morag ibuok kalibutan nag trade na sila. then and pinas, wala rajud ni, stop in shop rani diri, ang European wala lang na kta ang pinas, pero sa pamidpid sa mga spanish, na abot sila diri then they find it lots of utanon ug mga lamas, mao ilang gikuha. pero pag kta nila ni lapu-lapu nag agree sila na, kinason lang kuhaa ayaw lang ang saang. sos, saang man gikuha, mao nag pinatyanay sila. then napay isa, kong ang lawas ni lapu2 ug ni rizal, pareha sa mga lawas sa capitol, perting klaroha na patyon jud sila, bisag ako pa si magilan, kta kog tao na gold, ako jud ng tiltilon. hehehehehehe.

normal rajud sa insik magsave, pero sa business mo sugal jud pero dili pud sugal na mao nato kinalasang hunat kai 50/50 ta ana, pero naapud bya successful kai nisugal sila tanan. financially base lang ha. risk jud. no pain no gain. ^_^

i dont think we have to identify chinese or filipino in this topic. it all boils down to one's up bringing. naa man mga pinoy that were taught the same as chinese and there are also chinese that where brough up just like the pinoy way.

the real difference is the way how we are educated by our parents and not by school. school does not teaches us how to be rich but it teaches us how to be good by profession. therefore it will be the influence of the parents that will make the child a risk taker, on the other hand parents who are employed will always influence their kids to be "play safe" or have a stable job just like them..

It would be much beter if the topic is titled "what the rich dad teaches his kids where the poor dad does not". the rich here refers to businessman and the poor refers to employee/professional. this is based on the idea of Robert Kiyosaki author of the book "rich dad, poor dad".. the book will enlighten you on this topic...

poor dad = study hard, get good grades, and work on a big corporation
rich dad = study hard, get good grades, and own a big corporation

finnancial education/literacy is needed to be rich and not the typical education which will just lead you to be a brilliant employee/professional.
