Why Pinoys are "geeting" dumb?

i hate to admit but i'm slowly losing my trust and confidence on teachers nowadays.

i used to tutor my brother when he was still in primary school.
one day, he went home and was quite upset because he didn't get a perfect score in english.

"did worked - did cried" --- what the heck?

of course i couldn't argue more. kids trust their teachers more than anyone else.
that's why they're called TEACHERS for that matter, or so to say.

I'd agree to the opinion that it is due to too much exposure on television. If there could be more air time for educational television such as tv eskwela, discovery and national geographic these may help. Children easily distracted by colors and great graphics.

The best teachers leave the country for better salary, and we can't blame them that they would also want to support their family. They are not paid well this is the main reason why they leave.

In all seriousness, I think a lot can be blamed on our poor public school system. They just don't get enough funding and resources to train, educate, and challenge our young students enought to think outside the box.

i beg to disagree. one cannot just point fingers at someone just because everyone says it's his fault.

FIlipinos are NOT getting DUMBER but each and everyday that passes , we are getting LAZIER .

There are no statistics of that nature that FILIPINOS are getting DUMBER , daghan TAPULAN yes ! Thus the very reason why a lot havent moved on and enjoy life . If the Filipino's are getting DUMBER , why are we still producing a lot of TOP NOTCH / HIGH CALIBER PROFFESSIONALS specially in the field of HEALTHCARE , IT, EDUCATORS and ENGINEERS ?

Because most of the Filipino families are spending so much time in television.. watching telenobelas and other trash news like showbiz etc. people are pretending and acting like what they have seen in the TV or in the movies. The medium in television are not use as educational tool to the communities.. sadly most of our politicians are very popular and took advantage of the medium for being a "trapo". Spending an average of 40 hours a week in watching TV is very unproductive.. that's one of the hundred more reasons related to this topic.

agree! the idiot box attacks not only the Filipino but the whole human race!
