trend or not, alternative or not. if its music and its great then i dg it..
i dont suscribe to label and i believe there are some current emo bands who are actually great although personally i believe they are not emo in the first place. just a stereotype thrown by the media. I like the new Fall Out Boy album and Thrice and Boys Like Girls (if my fellow kids still calls it emo).
but i agree that majority of today's so called emo has no direction at all.
Im very choosy when it comes to music but i don't suscribe to the "if you're indie/ if you're mainstream" label.
Mostly, i listen to bluegrass and country music mapa old school mana or new school, alternative or mainstream. most real country fans don't like Rascal Flats or most alternative country fans revere Steve earle and hate tim McGraw. But not me. I adore both artists! They all have great music although i suspect that Tim is all about the money and Steve is all about politics.... But that's just me though.
