i think this a money deal for Boston. i don't know if this is the final trade for both teams, but i'm expecting another trade from either team before the trade deadline. i wish Minnesota would've traded Kevin instead 'coz he deserves something better than this line up. he would've been better off playing with other contending teams than waste another 3-5 yrs not including the past 10 doggone years with the wolves.

minnesota definitely does not want to trade KG. probably one of the reasons why they traded szcerbiak is to appease KG so that he won't demand to be traded also.

There might be a simple swap looming around the league from other teams of course. The February trade deadline is still long to consider the Minnesota-Boston deal is the last.

Anyway, the Raptors fired their GM Rob Babcock. One of the Raptors' reasons why is that they got so little out of the Vince Carter to Nets scenario. Worse, Babcock drafted Rafael Araujo in the 2004 draft and it turned out to be a bust.

Minnesota needs somebody who can play along with KG, and they did it over and over again and it has done a little of something to their club. I find the KG-Ricky Davis duo will get along well of course because they're getting athletic there. Marcus Banks, Justin Reed and Mark Blount will boost something off the bench. I think Blount may start too if pwede... projected line-up would be:

    C - Griffin/Blount
    PF - KG
    SF - R. Davis/
    SG- Hassell
    PG- Jaric/Hudson

Boston wants to improve too, so maybe they want it to get lone-range with the pair of Pierce-Wally. Definitely, they'll spread out the floor with the opposing teams' defense and may want to have Al Jefferson, LaFrentz and maybe Olowokandi to deliver inside the paint. They can switch Pierce to 2 and Wally to 3 so:

    C - Olowokandi/Perkins
    PF - LaFrentz/Jefferson
    SF - Wally
    SG - Pierce
    PG- West

Overall, Boston has the upper hand considering Olowokandi's contract to expire, more cash of course to sign other free agents. They can use other options too to up their level on the next draft. But if they want a major makeover, they're gonna have to trade Paul PIerce, but that's gonna be another issue.

Minnesota eats up Blount's silly contract and may want to consider trading him or a buyout, unless he improves and play worthy of his money that's gonna cost the Wolves. And if they want to consider na sad a major overhaul, trade KG and get a valuable return. Maybe KG - Paul Pierce?

if the davis-szczerbiak trade would be the last for the Wolves this year, it would really be a de service for KG. based on @lunateec22's starters:

    C - Griffin/Blount
    PF - KG
    SF - R. Davis/
    SG- Hassell
    PG- Jaric/Hudson

there's just no way they can get past the Suns, Mavs, Spurs or even Denver or the Grizz in the western conference. KG is not playing just for the money, he wants a championship ring, he wants "bling bling" and most importantly he wants to tell his kids/grandkids about the feeling of being a champion. bringing davis and his gang to Minnesota just doesn't cut it. i would hate for KG to follow the footsteps of Sir Charles, Malone, Payton and all the "superstars" who went to "championship contending teams" at the end of their careers just to "win a championship". it's sad for that scenario to happen to KG, when he's not at the peak of his career, why not now? but i am just a fan.. and this is only my opinion..

well, boston with their newest celtic playing just won over sacramento with their newest king playing. szczrbiak wasn't supposed to play but he did not have a suit to conform to the NBA's dress code so he just appeared in uniform. kalit lang gipaduwa ni doc rivers at the end of the 1st half and he wound up with 10 pts and the win. i hope the trade revitalizes boston.

bati-a oi... bati pa jud uniform ang Celtics...(ako design beh...nga-a oi!!!)

    Number 55 ni si Szczerbiak

Szczerbiak wore #10 in Minnesota. In Boston, #10 belongs to Jo Jo White. So that one's off the board. Szczerbiak finally settled on #55, since 5 and 5 equals 10. Meanwhile, the Kandi Man wore #34 for the Timberwolves, but it's not really up for discussion with the Celtics these days.
