The trade that almost wasn't is finally happening. The Kings and Pacers have both signed off on a deal that will send Ron Artest to Sacramento and Peja Stojakovic to Indiana, the Pacers announced Thursday.

that ron-peja trade is no big deal.

nothing magical will happen to either team...

i had wished odom with draft picks for artest...

kobe-odom relationship is getting really bad...it would not only hurt the two players but the team as well...

what i'm afraid of is that whoever "big name" player L.A. acquires before the trade deadline ends or even during the off-season, it's gonna be the same problem all over again ie Odom. i don't think Kobe's gonna share the spotlight specially after the 81 pt. performance. it's gonna be a frustrating season for the Lakers fans if they can't find better role players for Kobe.

    A T T E N T I O N ! ! !

RON ARTEST FOR PEJA STOJAKOVIC IS FINAL

the indiana pacers and sacramento deal completed the deal bag-o ra... i think it will benefit both teams in terms of consistency and superb offense.

peja is deadly shooter of course from the outside and should spread an opposing team's defense and will give indiana's big men to dominate more inside. scott pollard and peja reunited sad...

    C - D. Harrison
    PF - J. O'neal
    SF - Peja/Jackson
    SG - S. Jackson/Peja
    PG - Tinsley

ron Artest is going to bring a dimension to sacramento that they haven't had in a long time in terms of his defensive abilities, his presence on the court, his versatility, his size and strength. given reports that he maybe a headcase and hard to understand, artest responded with this:

"I'm willing to play anywhere," Artest told Indianapolis television station WTHR. "I'm not going to be some hard guy to deal with and say I don't want to play there, you know? … It was a good conversation. It was a little bit emotional, just to think what you've been through with Donnie Walsh, who's such a personable person. He treats everybody like family. It was a tough day, but we both left on good terms, which is pretty cool."

    C - B. Miller
    PF - Abdur-Rahim
    SF - Artest
    SG - Wells
    PG - Bibby

Overall, i think the Kings got the most out of this trade... that's one freakin' explosive first five with all-star calibers on the line. THe Pacers' are not bad too. Unless, Artest starts being a headache and Peja starts having another ache. Now, let's see if they can live up to each organization's expectations.

in a perfect world, sacramento got the "better" deal. but considering artest's "stupidity factor" , it's two thumbs up for Bird and the Pacers for getting rid of the guy who sabotaged their franchise for two years. the ball is in the Maloof brothers' hands, it's a big gamble, that's a fact, but who knows what "ron artest" would show up? the player they were hoping to help them salvage their season, or the "weirdo" who plays the game for about a couple of months then goes back to his antics which one handedly costs the Pacers "eastern conference contender" status going down the drain.. but come to think of it, the kings were on a fast downslide anyway, so for all "kings fans", just "cross your fingers" and hope for the best..

Celtics Send Davis to Wolves in Seven-Player Swap

^i'm a celtics fan and i have mixed reactions with this trade. first, i'm gonna miss ricky davis. i think he's a better all around player than sczerbiak. but i'm happy they got rid of mark blount and his huge contract. walay ayo si olowokandi but at least he's a free agent next year, if he still does not play well this year, the celts can simply let him walk. and they also get a future first round draft pick in exchange for banks and reed.
