opeth is a metal band...

your'e talkin about "pure" emo and wala gyud mu ka mention ug fugazi, dagnasty ug rites of spring... emo is a label na gi-imbento sa media... music classification gyud ana nila is post hardcore... because and mga pinaka ka first na "emo" na mga band is an offshoot sa minor threat and youth of today and some washington DC hardcore scene na mga banda and klaro pa kaayo ila punk hardcore roots unlike sa "emo" today na poppy na kaayo... murag boy bands on speed... even chris carraba has a hardcore root before siya na further seems forever...

I know Opeth is a metal band, but isnt emo supposed to be emotional?.. regardless of what genre..

these bands show pure emotion.. ma feel gyud ninyo ang ila music, ma feel nimo ang emotion.. and that is emo.. not that crap you hear on the radio.
