It's partially the people's fault and the governors office fault. See, when hurricane was warned to hit Florida, the government initiated evacuation, they lined up tens of Metro buses for people who don't have transportation. However, in New Orleans (although it was an unexpected hit because Katrina basically changed its course the day before she landed on US soil) their government wasn't ready for any of this to happen. Nobody coerced those people to leave the city. Bisan gahi pa sila ug ulo if the New Orleans government made extra efforts for evacuation like how they did it in Florida lately, it wouldn't have been much as their fault for ignoring the possible warnings of a Category 5 hurricane.
Other states governments here partly blame the people and the government there for the disaster. Tan-awa nuon ron, sus daghan na hinuon kaayo damage, and daghan ang tabangunon. We know the American people in general to have great common sense, pero exception ning New Orleans, kay besides it down there, backwards ang ilang thinking compared to big states and big city people. Mas slow-paced ang ilang lifestyle, lahi gyud kaysa city people. For me their reaction to the warnings was very typical of the South people in the US. Kung namakwit lang unta sila, wala unta mangamatay.
What's done is done. President Bush was really mad when he went to the devastated areas, and said "relief efforts is unacceptable". Some mayors in other parts of the US actually blame the peple or their governor, and were unwilling to forgive them and help not until Bush got into their asses. Washington DC mayor gani ana siya dapat pabayron daw ang mga "refugees" kung manganhi sa US. They call their own people "refugees", lain kaaoy paminawon. Tinuod majority sa mga victims mga itom, which means, majority of them are stupid for not leaving, mao na tan-aw sa kadaghanan.

I feel for them gyud, 1st world country gud ni, and even during summer most homes have AC's. Ang init lang daan makamatay na. Imagine ang kainit pareha's peak sa atong summer. And some people were under the sun outside for 4 days.

people who have been here and live here will understand what America really is and feel what its lyk out here... Help is what's really important for these people ryt now....
