Ask your self if your really interested in Programming + if you really have the "PATIENCES". yes Patience my dear.. You must have the patience and analytical skills on how to solve certain problem.
Hmm.. medyo wala ka naka gets bro. Iyang pasabot is dili man ang mathematics ra ang basis to be a good programmer. what he meant is you really need the ANALYTICAL SKILL.. means kahibaw mo basa / understands a process flow.
Like me. I just have a average IQ when it comes to mathematics, but I can still manage to understand process flow / the requirements of the client that what they need at the same time I can do coding.
Correct me if I'm wrong:
Programmer = Coder
System Analyst = Can read system flow at the same time he / she can code.
Ako mas ganahan ko tawgon ko og System Analyst rather than programmer. Medyo cool lang paminawn if programmer ka but reality System Analyst is more (KAKOY) Cool than programmer.
Yes sakto ka bro.. pero dli basis lang ang kamao ka og math, its the ANALYTICAL SKILL.. suma bright kayu ka og math.. pero dli kamao mo understand og business process / system flow..
Ang pinaka sakto gyud ani bro is:
Anyone can be Programmer (Coder) but not anyone can be a System Analyst (Reads the system flow at the same time can code)
Daghan nako nailhan na kamao mo program / code pero dli kamao mo analyze
i just dont get it, i know what OO is about, but does it have to be standard when we talk about GOOD programming? a good programmer is about skills and not what you use, its about the output and not the code itself... if you copied the code, whats wrong with it, i dont see wrong with it...
im a classic coder, i prefer making my own system to use rather than make used of open-source framework or system, i do copy codes for study and TAE, but once i use it, i will completely recode it 99.5%
a good programmer can make do on what it already have... how many of you can code using asm editor?, using DOS based Text Editor?, running the code thru DOS/Terminal?, coding a CGI using terminal? creating a site in python using a freaking terminal using complicated freaking OCR modules and image manipulation?, debugging the assembly/c++ codes without a computer (kung BSCT ka sa UCLM 1998-99 naka experience jud ka ani)?
i know there are lot of people tried it but still most people end up using tools that helps them in coding...
PS i only tried some of it, its not easy... i make do on what i have... and i dont consider my self a "GOOD" programmer i leave that to other people to say if they think... but for me id consider my self just a coder who finds way to solve problems..
JACK OF ALL TRAITS, MASTER OF NONE!!!I ONCE SAID TO MY DESIGNER, YOUR THE SPOTTER IM THE SNIPER, YOU CALL THE SHOT I PULL THE TRIGGER, THATS HOW THE DESIGNER-PROGRAMMER RELATIONSHIP SHOULD BE
@TS, patience is a virtue

In the end, you need guts to put your thoughts into code.
Kay naay uban tungod sa fear to be wrong, ma-stuck up na nuon.
Bill Gates is not a good programmer.
Steve Jobs was not a good programmer.
Mark Zuckerberg is not known to be a good programmer but he probably knows how to code.
All of them are successful in computing business world.
So unsa man jud, magpaka "good programmer" pa ta ani?
So unsa man jud, mag programmer pa ta ani? Anyway, sa ako part as a Application Developer "kunohay", wala ko choice but to continue kay mao naman nasudlan nga career.![]()
