Just Colon? Nice idea, but wouldn't it be better to have a Cebu version of Intramuros: Cebu Cathedral area, Pari-an, an improved Rajah Humabon monument, etc.

Close the area to traffic, replace the asphalt with cobblestones, make tartanillas the only transportation, make it secure with 24 hour patrols and you have a very nice area that shouts out, "This is the history of Cebu" that we can be proud to show off to tourists.

Better than bring our visitors to Larsian.

Lisod kaayo ni. One of the main reasons why there are so many people walking on Colon St is because of the public transportation routes. Because of the large number of people there and its proximity to the piers, most businesses are more of the "wholesale" type there. If those jeepney routes are going to be diverted, do we have enough tourists compared to crowds now to sustain a good customer base there? Also, hardly any existing business there are of any interest to tourists.

Although oldest street lagi ang Colon and it has some kind of historical significance, wa man koy nakita nga angay tan-awon sa tourists diha. Kung molakaw lang gani sa Colon, daghan ra man ang abog, aso ug snatchers... Dako gyud kaayo trabaho to improve it to attract tourists to the detriment of existing businesses and commuters pa gyud.
