ooohh.. really struck a nerve there..

    so sorry about that..

but seriously, all this fighting is foolishness.. and that's why i dont buy into any form of war.. why go into one in the first place?

if it is one's time to perish, then he/she shall perish..

i would not struggle against my destiny.. of course, i will exhaust whatever i have in my power to try to change that (but NEVER USING VIOLENCE as a form of power), but in the end, if it has already been written, then why fight against my own fate.. i would rather die in peace (and pieces if necessary or surrender) than die with such feelings of anger and vengeance in me.. and that means to not fight at all. there is a reason why we become slaves to another in this physical universe.. there is a time for everything..

contrary to what you have posted, some people here have gone thru battles like you have and maybe worse, and see that all that fighting is really stupid..

i also do not believe in the saying that "to preserve peace, one must be ready to go to war.." that is an arrogant excuse of generals who lack infantry for their armed forces..

that dead man's prayer, i'm afraid, is just another tool of religion for an excuse to be violent against another..

tell me, what do you do when u win the war?
After you honorably serve your country with the belief that it helps protect your family, friends, and culture. You live with your actions.

As I am sure all the Filipino veterans of the war with Japan had to do, now I guess they must feel shame because their grandchildren now feel like they were fools. Yes the Philippines would be so much better off being Japan's bitch slaves. I am sure they are ashamed of their grandchildren if they hear you speak such trash talk.

Yes I am sure that you will never understand a Dead Man's Prayer. You would not kill to protect your life or the life of your comrades, family or child. You will just sit quietly by and allow it to happen. That you will not stand to protect your country, family, or culture.

Fortunately for your country, family, and culture there are still men of honor who will do it for you. Since you will just roll over stick you butt in the air.

oh, don't me wrong.. i'm not dishonoring my ancestors by saying they are fools for going to war.. i am learning from their mistakes..

so you "live" with your actions that you killed somebody to secure your family, friends, and culture?

it's like stealing to feed your hungry son..

but then again, that is a natural instinct.. i'm not judging you.. fight what battles you wish to fight and kill for it if you want (or "need) to..

on the other hand, i would rather choose not to.. simple to say, yet hard to do.. and when that point comes that i'm not strong enough to avoid fighting, i guess i'll be a coward and say the dead man's prayer instead.. i've nothing left to lose anyway..

wow some of you guys have very archaic notions of killing... still thinking in terms of good and evil?

how about before killing a terrorist, you give it a thought about why the terrorist did what he did? what conditions forced the terrorist to do it?

like the somali pirates, what conditions in their area forced them to become pirates? oh yeah, there are multinational corporations that are overfishing the ocean where they use to get their food. But what the heck we use navy snipers to take them out... and praise the snipers for their awesome sharpshooting skills.

Simple soldiers never get to pick their battles, rather their battle pick them. You kill to live, so your comrades may live.

on the other hand, i would rather choose not to.. simple to say, yet hard to do.. and when that point comes that i'm not strong enough to avoid fighting, i guess i'll be a coward and say the dead man's prayer instead.. i've nothing left to lose anyway..
I can not fault a honorable man not wanting to fight and avoiding a fight. That is wisdom

I fault an unhonorable man who refuses to fight, and allows another to fight in his place. That is an act of cowardice
I hope you never are put in that situation, and all sane men are scared when there. You do not have to trust me, but you will pray due to your belief that you are going to lose everything. Only a fool believes he will not pray.

let us not limit ourselves to physical warfare.. there are other forms of warfare that exist.. everyday is a battle.. life is a constant warfare.. (ex. like office politics, business, romantic relationships)

we have to look beyond good and evil.. let us look at the true nature of humans.. we have conflicts and do harms to others for the sake of our survival.. it is our essence.. we need to secure resources to ensure our survival even if others must perish.. this is the law of the jungle.. the weak shall perish, and the strong shall survive..-the natural selection process.. he who holds power over somethign(like guns, gold, or even food) makes the rules..

in this life. its kill or be killed (not literal murder ha).. if you have an advantage exploit it to the maximum.. if you dont, find something that will give you an edge.. or else, you will be left behind, worse youll end up dead..

the reality of life is that it is brutal... the only rule is that there are no rules.. we may appear civilized but deep inside each of us, there is the desire to subjugate each other..

my only prayer is that "Lord, let me not lose courage on the field of battle.. and give me strength to do what i must do"

the defeated and the vanquished will cry as being victims.. they will turn to religion or morals to cry injustice done to them, but in truth, it is only the way the can prevent feeling shame for their failure to secure their resources.. they will live on a state of denial.. they may writhe on their self created hell as the victors celebrate the victory and ensure the future of its people and of its culture...

the world is a harsh place.. if you dont have the guts.. you wont last long..

"Father, forgive me for what i am to do.. if you cannot forgive me, then you are not my Father"
