hahaha , the channels on your basic Access point are around 13, i forgot that some ouf you guys are technically inclined. these is so to avoid congestion on specific frequencies on which these units work on. Those who are familiar with these usually set their frequencies or channels to avoid operating on congested ch. w/c causes interference.

Now if you have a unit thats operating on a congested channel, setting up the MAC address, ip no, subnet, n key will filter out those unwanted signals. But some dont bother to set this up that why they're giving away access to their neighbor for free without their knowledge. Learn more about this at the "Wardriving" site. :mrgreen:

good news to everyone! so far so good... the guys who are helping me maintain the bandwidth are happy with their speed so far. i guess dako kau tabang ang CIR of 128 kbps nga base line up to 2MB. its been more than 2 weeks nga operational wala mi congestion. except those who forget to turn their ap units, who thought wala nay service . i counted 18 computers on line everyday, basing on the IPs that pop up, but maybe its just a router ip with more than 6 units behind it. hehehe.

Well i've been to Cagayan de oro for a weeks vacation, and found out that they have the same problem with smart wifi, which almost always hang up? Anyway i did manage to do some site survey up on xavier side and the prospect seemsN too good

for those interested...... I might expand the system, its just a matter of getting a good deal on the bandwidth. A friend of mine is asking for access on happy valley, i said yes. He is gonna buy an external AP for himself, and will be configured to repeater mode. just think of the possibility.

were trying to negotiate for a CIR of 512kbps as baseline up to 2MBps. if your near this AP i guess ;youll have a grand time

asa dapit capitol my friend is contemplating of having his internet service cut located in guadalupe near St.Pauls school. but were looking for a building to put on the AP repeater.
