mick mars goes down as one of the most underrated rock guitar players of all time...yet needless to say, & as timid as he seems to be onstage & during band interviews (apparently due to a lower spine stiffening disease), he is the main honcho responsible for creating & honing the rock persona of Motley Crue (it was mars who gave the band its name), & catapulting the band to rock cult status...

where it is true that his co-band members demeanors & wild & nasty meanderings contributed largely to the band's popularity...musicwise, it has always been mars' natural ability to concoct the nastiest pile driving riff, & to cap it off with well phrased solos that we've all come to know as only crue...

coming out of an era when having a guitar virtuoso on lead was the only formula for a rock band to make it, motley crue stepped out proudly to the plate with impeccable songwriting, raw talent & energy, cohessive band chemistry, & simply great rock music that has lasted till now...& for all time to come...shout at the devil!!!...
