This is a discussion on the possible cause of the mishap, not a news report about the incident nor about its casualties (there's a separate thread for that in the Current Events section). From this point forward, please refrain from posting details such as passengers etc. and let the this thread focus on scientific, avionics and structural engineering topics. Thank you.

thank you for the clarification, sir.
so, anyway, with finding the black box becoming impossible with only days to go before the "pings" die out, there's just one obvious scenario among the many theories: the pitot tubes gave badly fatal readings. this, and that it flew through heavy turbulence making it impossible to operate this big chunk of metal manually.
i think its not just the storm..
its also the heavy rains, lightnings, air pressure..
latest report says the pilot and a crew member have been identified. on the one hand airbus is saying it's pilot error and on the other the pilots association says airbus has been in the know of this pitot tube problem in their planes but is now pointing at the pilot to clear their name. airbus claims to have the safest airplanes, they're protecting that claim.
it's a hobby. not very familiar but basics only.
it's hopeless ... a few more days until the homing beacon dies.
