i am now working on an integrated emergency hotline system similar to the 911 of the US which should be up in around 4 to 6 months. i already talked to top guys of PLDT and GLOBE and theyl do it for us. so it will be just one number to remember for all type of emergencies (medical, fire, police, traffic accidents, public disturbances, etc) instead of us trying to remember different numbers for these kinds of emergencies.

Nice! This would be really really helpful... Hinaot unta dili mag-abusar ang public by making prank calls.
Cebu City ra ang cover ani Councilor? Mo-sunod pod unta ang uban lugar sa Metro Cebu.

as of now cebu city lang sa kung e pilot project nato, then the others can follow. mas maayo if each city has its own but same number lang gihapon but automatic nga mo connect sa city's emergency dispatch system. like the 911 that is used all over the US but each area has its own dispatch operators who know which fire station, police precinct, or emergency response units (like ERUF and hospitals) are nearest to the emergency location. regarding prank calls, naturally the system will have "caller id" to take care of it.

That's good news Councilor Jack! Long overdue na na. May I suggest the GSM emergency number 112 be used for cellphones because everybody knows that number from their cellphone manuals?

Nice of you to drop by, Sir Jack, and kudos on the Emergency Hotline System. As Cebu becomes bigger so will the crime rate inevitably rise. It's about time we upgrade emergency services such as this.

Regarding the use of automatic rifles in this heist, it would seem that these thugs have a lot money to begin with considering how much a "baby Armalite" costs these days (plus ammo).

And to have carried out this crime successfully entailed a lot of meticulous planning just to get the timing right. They've surely had to stake out and observe the place to determine which time were there the least people around, what were the guards' habits, how many were they, were they alert, where to put the car, escape routes, etc.

Surely the guards must have noticed something days before the heist?

maau na imong plano konsehal jack, dispatch operators, pero saon kon dili gihapon tubagon sa police station nga gitawgan? mao ra gihapon storyaha phone technical problem ang rason.....

mao gyud. klaro kaayo nga gi plano ug tarong! criminals will always look for the easiest targets, but even the acting mayor mike rama and many were really surprised when i called them to say the robbery was on the 3rd floor of an uptown mall! hehe. but then again, i just learned today that the mall only has 3 guards on duty inside at a given time, then yesterday we learned they had no security cameras, no alarm systems, no frisking or metal detectors on guards at entrances (unlike ayala, SM, etc), and jewelry store owner told me he complained to the mall management just few months ago on the lack of guards. also, the robbers knew exactly where the trays of the most valuable items were placed. actually, more than maybe 2M worth was taken, and maybe even more! a whole tray of mens rings with mostly 1 and bigger carat diamonds, one tray of mens diamond studded bracelets, one tray of womens diamond studded chokers, etc. Those wouldnt be on glass display on jewelry stores outside malls, so maayo gyud pagka plano nila!
