I got mine without any coupons. I just got lucky they were having a promo (which rarely happens with XPS systems) that time for $699 off. I forgot to mention that order came with a $200 gift check. Basically I got the XPS for around 688 not counting the free software worth $130. It felt like I've won a lottery when I got the deal w00t!!!

MCUYG: Portability should also be a factor. At 15.5 lbs, you won't be lugging that thing around with you without having to rest every 30 min. You should also check the DELL XPS M2010 (which is also 3 lbs heavier) if you're into those big and heavy "notebooks errrr briefcase".
