    @yanong banikanohon.

    I agree 100% with James 2: 14-26.

However, you have your facts deliberately mixed up. Here are the real facts:

    A great resource here:

    http://greatsite.com/timeline-english-bi…

1,400 BC: The first written Word of God: The Ten Commandments delivered to Moses.

500 BC: Completion of All Original Hebrew Manuscripts which make up The 39 Books of the Old Testament.

200 BC: Completion of the Septuagint Greek Manuscripts which contain The 39 Old Testament Books AND 14 Apocrypha Books.

1st Century AD: Completion of All Original Greek Manuscripts which make up The 27 Books of the New Testament.

315 AD: Athenasius, the Bishop of Alexandria, identifies the 27 books of the New Testament which are today recognized as the canon of scripture.

382 AD: Jerome's Latin Vulgate Manuscripts Produced which contain All 80 Books (39 Old Test. + 14 Apocrypha + 27 New Test).

500 AD: Scriptures have been Translated into Over 500 Languages.

600 AD: LATIN was the Only Language Allowed for Scripture.

995 AD: Anglo-Saxon (Early Roots of English Language) Translations of The New Testament Produced.

1384 AD: Wycliffe is the First Person to Produce a (Hand-Written) manuscript Copy of the Complete Bible; All 80 Books.

So you see, before kanang imong gi ingon si Jerome, na kompleto na ang 39 sa old and 27 sa new testament.

The Maccabees were a Jewish rebel army who took control of Judea, which had been a client state of the Seleucid Empire. Dili sya prophet, not by Moses, or apostles. Mao nang wala sya apila sa Bible. Kanang apocrypha neither belongs to the old or the new testament. See?

@ Yanong-Bankinanhon, kinahanglan jud nimo ma appreciate and significance sa old and new testaments (old and new covenants of God), the real message of salvation, the significance of Jesus' death on the cross and the blood that He shed.

I was a catholic a few years ago. I was born and raised a catholic. Sa cathlolic school ko ni graduate. I admire catholics for their dedication and devotion. There are just some teachings nd practices I do not agree with because they contradict biblical principles.

Imo nuon kong gihatagan anang website link nga dili ma-visit.

    Akong balikon akong pangutana, @dcuenco.

Giunsa man nimo pagkasiguro nga 27 books lang gyud ang new testament, dili 26 o 28 books?

sho, dili na ang numero whether its 26, 27 or 28. ang importante those were the first books right after Jesus died (1st century AD) and written by witnesses of Jesus, Apostles. Dili bitaw catholic nag decide nga 27. Wa man ko mag sulti ana The Roman Catholics were not yet established during the 1st century.

Mathew, Mark, Luke and John were Gospels - works of Jesus and what He did in His ministry. Kani silang 4 kuyog kuyog jud ni sila ni Jesus during His ministry.

After the Gospels, ACTS of the Apostles which was written by the Luke.

After Acts, Paul the apostle who was appointed after Jesus died, wrote epistles or letters to the gentiles (gentiles = non-jews), which include letters to the Romans, Corinthians 1 & 2, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Thessalonians 1 & 2 , Timothy, Titus, Philemon,

Then letters to the Hebrews, letter of James (to Jews), letters of Peter 1 & 2 (to Jews), letters John 1,2 & 3 (the apostle), and letter of Jude (brother of James the apostle).

Ang last is the REVELATION of Jesus Christ. which was written by John. Revelation of Jesus on what will happen up to the end of time.

Nindot basahon ang bibliya sho. Tuo lang.

Giunsa lagi nimo pagkasayod nga kanang 27 books maoy tinuod nga ana nga time daghan man pud books nga nagsulti bahin sa life ni Jesus like adtong Gospel of Magdalene, The Epistle of Barnabas, etc...? Ang catholic church maoy nagpili anang 27 books out of those hundred manuscripts that exist during that time. Pero wala man kay salig sa decision sa simbahang katoliko, nganong nituo man ka nga sakto ng 27 books nga ilang gipili? Tubaga kuno. Ayaw og likay2x.

Dili lagi catholics but the early christians and nag compile first sa 27 books.

    Facts:

Development of the New Testament canon

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Canon of the New Testament is the set of books Christians regard as divinely inspired and constituting the New Testament of the Christian Bible. For most, it is an agreed-upon list of twenty-seven books that includes the Canonical Gospels, Acts, letters of the Apostles, and Revelation. The books of the Canon of the New Testament were written mostly in the first century and finished by the year 150AD. For the Orthodox, the recognition of these writings as authoritative was formalized in the Second Council of Trullan of 692, although it was nearly universally accepted in the mid 300's.[1] The Canon of Scripture was the result of debate and research, reaching its final term for Catholics at the dogmatic definition of the Council of Trent when the Old Testament Canon was finalized in the Catholic Church as well.[2]

Writings attributed to the Apostles circulated among the earliest Christian communities. The Pauline epistles were circulating, perhaps in collected forms, by the end of the 1st century AD.[3] Justin Martyr, in the mid 2nd century, mentions "memoirs of the apostles" as being read on Sunday alongside the "writings of the prophets".[4] A four gospel canon (the Tetramorph) was asserted by Irenaeus, c. 180, who refers to it directly.[5][6]

By the early 200s, Origen may have been using the same twenty-seven books as in the Catholic New Testament canon, though there were still disputes over the canonicity of Hebrews, James, II Peter, II and III John, and Revelation,[7] known as the Antilegomena. Likewise, the Muratorian fragment is evidence that, perhaps as early as 200, there existed a set of Christian writings somewhat similar to the twenty-seven-book NT canon, which included four gospels and argued against objections to them.[8] Thus, while there was a good measure of debate in the Early Church over the New Testament canon, the major writings are claimed to have been accepted by almost all Christians by the middle of the 3rd century.[9]

    It is LOVE.
    That's all

    I'll add

    "That's All" ~R. Stewart

I can only give you love that lasts forever,
And a promise to be near each time you call.
And the only heart I own
    For you and you alone
    That's all,
    That's all

If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear,
You'll be glad to know that my demands are small.
Say it's me that you'll adore,
    For now and evermore
    That's all,
    That's all.

    ....Thessalonians 1 & 2....

Ang last is the REVELATION of Jesus Christ. which was written by John.
Nasayod ba ka nga dili si Matthew mismo ang nagsulat anang Gospel According to Matthew? That was written by a Jewish around 80-90 A.D.
It was written between about 80-90 AD by a highly educated Jew (an "Israelite," in the language of the gospel itself), intimately familiar with the technical aspects of Jewish law, standing on the boundary between traditional and non-traditional Jewish values.

Nasayud ba ka nga mas unang gisulat ang 1st Epistle to the Thessalonians kaysa Gospel According to Matthew. Ang 1st Thessalonians gisulat ni Paul at around 52 A.D.

The first letter to the Thessalonians was likely the first of Paul's letters, probably written by the end of AD 52, making it, so far as is now known, the first written book in the New Testament.

src: First Epistle to the Thessalonians - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nasayud ba ka nga dili mismo si Luke ang nagsulat anang Gospel According to Luke?

Many modern scholars have expressed doubt that the author of Luke-Acts was the physician Luke, and opinion on the subject is evenly divided.[14] Instead, they believe Luke-Acts was written by an anonymous Christian author who may not have been an eyewitness to any of the events recorded within the text.

Some of the evidence cited comes from the text of Luke-Acts itself. In the preface to Luke, the author refers to having eyewitness testimony "handed down to us" and to having undertaken a "careful investigation", but the author does not mention his own name or explicitly claim to be an eyewitness to any of the events

    src: Authorship of Luke
See? Matthew and Luke did not sit down and wrote the gospels. They preached it. They passed the gospels to their disciples in the form of oral tradition and catechism.

    Romans 10:17
Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
It looks like you did not actually do your homework. You just believe without asking. And then you came to this thread announcing nga nangilad ang mga katoliko ug naluoy ka sa mga members nga nailad. Kinsa man ang nangilad karon, bay?

Ang ipasabot ana, at around 200 A.D. WALA pa ma-finalize ang 27 books. There were still disputes kun i-apil ba ang Hebrew, Revelations, etc...

    Kanus-a man nahunong kining dispute?

In his Easter letter of 367, Athanasius, Bishop of Alexandria, gave a list of the books that would become the twenty-seven-book NT canon, and he used the word "canonized" (kanonizomena) in regards to them.

src: Development of the New Testament canon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
See?

P.S. Wala gyud nimo gitiwas og qoute ang wikipedia article no? Ngano man?
