so far the AMD HD cards doesn't seem to impress me much but i'll wait till both brands AMD & Nvidia throw all their cards on the table for me to make a decision.

that would be next year... around feb... when the R680 from ATI/AMD and the D9E from nvidia comes out...

if you would be "waiting", a time would come that your choice card would be outdated by a newer card...

bai. my geforce 7600GT is still alive so therefore i don't need one NOW but i am scouting around because puslan naman nag c2d nako ron might as well complete the collection of a good gaming system. last time i checked bai inig gawas anang bago nga model di mana ma outdated then and there. wala pa gani ni gawas ang AMD HD cards ma outdated na? Don't think so!

I already got a 2GB DDR2 pc800, a 320GB hard drive and an Audgiy 2 ZS. The video card can wait.

I was pointing out that, if you need a new one karon, then palit karon... kay no matter how new the card is when you buy it, it would still get outdated...

Bai, apparently you are not getting my point. WALA KO NAGDALI. Nag andar pa ang 7600GT nako and it doesn't pose any problems with any of my games - YET. The two cards are my candidates in my eventual upgrade. Sayop imong mentality bai nga hinanglan palit dayon2x. Ang paliton nako is something that "suits my needs" and that doesn't necessarily mean the LATEST or IMMEDIATE. I base my purchases on that criteria. I don't buy stuff because it's the "latest". Preha ra na sa mindset bai nga hinanglan mo palit ko ug iPhone tungod it's the latest and coolest phone but what I merely want is to talk and text which makes more sense to buy an N1100 phone.

That's the reason why I brought those two cards in this thread. Those are my current and ONLY choices. Let's stay on topic and not bring up "potential" candidates nalang. My mistake for bringing up the HD into this topic. Naka distract nuon sa atong storya.

OT: fyi, wala pa nigawas ang HD3800 nga series. pre-order pa gani na sa manila. Basin later this month pa.

8800gt can handle well a 22" 1680x1050 monitor... mao ni akong gamit karon, with may samsung 2232GW. ok ra kaayo... very satisfied and happy with it...
