Sharp Aqous and Toshiba Regza made good lcd TV's and reasonably priced too .Just a heads up to those buying LCD TV here in Cebu to make sure you get the specs beforehand for each model before doing the price comparison. It should be an apples to apples or orange to orange comparison otherwise you will be decieved by the number games these manufacturers are playing. Get the highest contrast ratio and response time that budget permits and at least 720P resolution and 2 HDMI connecctions. Most important thing is that you audition once you've narrowed down the choices. Bring your DVD player and Game console to the store and let your eyes makes the final decision because the stores are using dvd upscaler or HD generator to make the picture looks good on the demo units.Originally Posted by EZRA
Btw, is the Dell that you bought an LCD monitor or LCD TV? I assume it's a monitor.
LCD TV ... not a monitor. The had LCD and PLASMA TV's badged as DELL but I assume they were made by Phillips.
They phased it out.. it's a 37" LCD TV.
Why pamper life's complexities when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat?
Samsung has been making the components used in LCDs for sony , so you do the math...
for more info you can check the forum at pinoydvd.com
i would suggest the toshiba regza or cinema series.....3rd generation and not that expensive...that's what i am using right now...and if possible 1080p
but the equalizer is the media......you can optimize the HDTV quality when you pair it with a bluray player....the best package
I'm planning to buy an LCD HDTV too. 50-ish inch preferably. But i'm looking for one that has a usb port. So far the only ones i've seen in stores are Samsung, LG and HP. I really want to buy a Sony but the ones i've seen don't have usb port. Does Sony offer LCD HDTV with usb ports?
any1 know an appliance store who sells the cheapest priced Sony LCD TV (a non-mall based)?
Bravia is one of the top selling TVs around the world. I got a 2 year old one, still doing great, 50", sadly no 1080p, just 1080i. But unless you got some HD players, you dont really need one. Common mistake is that people go to the malls, see those super clear reception and think that regular channels will end up that way.
The last time I checked, there are, but only the high end ones. My 50" Bravia doesnt have it, but the 60" do. Dont know with the newer models. Just buy a PS3, it got 2-4!Originally Posted by blur
