rma'd hdd have shorter manufacturers warranty. I wouldn't buy rma'd hdd because they're not brand new. They're retested and repaired in the factory then returned to the owner. I've returned a few hdds to seagate directly and 2 out of 8 failed again and had to rma them back. Its very easy to rma if your hdd is seagate. Just read through tipidpc forums.

if u have a hdd try to look kng under warranty bah, if under warranty pa, ikaw nlng rma, mas dako pa ma save, mga 3days dawat na nmo, i jst receive mine ganina buntag. karon mao ni ako gamit freashly installed os. dali ra pa rma sa seagte. if dinalian na jud au palit nlng..

and by the way, my first certified repaired hdd was from sir infoseeker, mga around 2009, nya nadaot lng pag september this year, basin makapangotana mo ngano dugay na out of warrnty, kato na hdd is sauna pa katong wala pa gusab sa seagate ang ila warranty policy. ang warranty sa hdd mo abot pa tog 5yrs sauna. karon wa na 3yrs nlng ug mao to ako gamit pa rma sa ako new rma hdd ron..

yes, I was able to exchange emails with someone from seagate - what seagate does is to change the internal organs of the defective HDD so thats how reliable the RMAed HDD are

Pero if di mada change internal organs, ila ra guro ilisan ug lain jud diba? I'm sure they have high QA standards for thier rma hdds pud...

FYI: western digital & Seagate- they limit their warranties sa mga HDD n 2 years nalng. Start sa Manufacturing Date 2012 up... pero sa katong 2011 pa gi manufactured na HDD covered pa sa 3 years warranty.

    Hitachi still 3 years warranty
Toshiba- dont have idea pero murag 3 years guro ilaha..
