sure they are pro -admin but JDV unlike garica had sinister motive his fast lane charter change is a grand design for him to be more powerful than the president so he could be a defacto ruler.Originally Posted by ben_wong83

Murag na panic na ang camp ni De Venecia... coz they are trying to make a negative allegations against Garcia...
In the statement: they reportedly claimed the cash offered for congressmen to vote for Representative Garcia ranged from P300,000 to 400,000... and claiming GSIS funds are being used to buy votes for the Speakership bid of Garcia.

murag gubot jud ang lakas-cmd og kampi ani sa lower house.... ay ambot uroy.... para nako, wala mapili between garcia and JDV. ambot kung kinsa may pambato sa opposition despite wala sila numbers...
^^^
pero at least fair fight lang unta... murag dili man sad ganahan mana-ug si JDV sa iyang truno...
para sa akoa, it's time to change the Speaker of the House... and i think GARCIA is the right person for the position...
mura ang gilabanan jud ron sa malacanang kay si JDV, as hinted by Puno, stating that Pabling might have to leave Kampi.
all i know about this kai murag ang gailog sa puesto si JDV ug garcia. both are in the same boat as gloria's. and ang issue is that pablo is using GSIS funds (kai iyang song or brother ba toh, dako puesto sa GSIS) to pay members of the house para mu-vote niya. waaaaaaaaa unsaon!
Im tired seeing JDV in the congress, if wla na siya hidden agenda pwde man siya mu give way ni Pablo Garcia to think same boat raman unta sila.
It's about time JDV replaced, but the problem with this guy is he is not a true statesman and refuses to relinquish his hold on power. Our very own Pabling Garcia is a good candidate for the Speakership but he is allied with the administration camp that leaves a very bad taste in the mouth against the minority, whom he is trying to win their votes. The loser would automatically hold the Deputy Speaker position, which, by protocol & tradition, belonged to the minority. That's it.
if u are to think, ang away sa lakas-cmd og kampi may usa sa rason ngano ang mostly ni daug sa senate kay genuine opposition. so nagpadayun gihapon ang away sa 2 political parties identified with GMA.
well, ilaha naman nang problema between JDV and Pabling. I am used to support Pabling, in my previous post, for the speakership. Pero karon, wala nako sa duha. Ako kay wala man jud ko maganahan ni JDV ever since. Pero i doubt JDV naa hidden agenda, like the cha-cha para mahimong prime minister. As for Pabling, he is using his son Wnston para sa GSIS funds.
So wala mapili sa duha. Pero mas gusto baya ko og opposition para speaker para naa sab check and balance ni GMA & other Malacanang officials.
Winston Garcia sues JDV backer over bribery claims

The head of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has filed a libel case against Manila Representative Bienvenido Abante for alleging that the state pension fund was being used to bankroll the bid of his father, Cebu Congressman-elect Pablo Garcia, for the speakership of the House of Representatives.
"Without any shred of evidence on hand, respondent Abante imputed the very crime of bribery and, by implication, malversation of public funds, against (the) GSIS and the undersigned," Winston Garcia, GSIS president, said in his affidavit filed before the Pasay City prosecutor's office.
Abante, a key ally of Speaker Jose De Venecia, is supporting the latter's bid to retain the speakership.
"'Shameful,' 'immoral' and 'illegal' were just some of the inflammatory words he used to cast aspersions on the institution and myself," Garcia said in his complaint.
"As a pension fund on which our public servants rely for their future sustenance, our continuing existence is built on trust," he said.
A similar accusation was made by a supporter of the elder Garcia against De Venecia.
Manila Representative Amado Bagatsing, a member of Kabalikat ng Malayang Pilipino (Kampi), earlier said he was offered a "fat envelope clearly containing cash" by a member of De Venecia's staff.
The offer was purportedly made to entice Bagatsing into supporting De Venecia's "legislative agenda," and his bid for a fifth term as Speaker.
