Good am, good thing there's this forum that we can discuss this kind of stuff.
Now back to the discussion, the kind of style depends on the availability of schools in the area and qualified teachers.
For me, I am much comfortable with taichi for its long term benefit for its exercise. Now for knife figthing there are ather schools who can teach how to defend and attack in such situations. I feel sorry for the bro who has been attack, kaya next time keep on practicing your art or what ever martial art style. Until next time na pud mga bro.

I practice in Cebu, lots of teachers, students, instructors, you have to be yourself and have lots of patience in practicing this style.
I recommend that you go to Cebu Sports Complex, they have one and I think they practice on Tuesday,Wednesday,Friday and Saturday.  I pracitce Wu style taichi.
