lol. I guess you're just a freshy. lemme tell you this:
it applies to ALL COURSES,SCHOOLS, and STUDENTS who value education. be it comp sci, engineering, watever...Welcome to reality.

from the looks of things "newbie" posters here are somewhat eager to tell the world that "UP" is the best. lol. thats why i suggested the guidelines to at least air out the strength of each institution you suggested. you don't need to be a scientist to understand that now would you?

and just to remind you again, we're not bashing any school here. we're trying to help the thread starter. kapish?
and answers like this tells me how stupor you guys from "whatschoolagain?" can be. don't give the impression that you guys are like that. ok?

    peace
hahaha...ROFL..I just can't help laughing bout ur reply...you're so serious bout this matter...we're just stating facts here..I wonder what planet you are in...heller? UP is UP and you can't do anything about it...

ei man! why are you so pissed of we are just stating our opinions! don't you get it?? seems like those people who haven't had the opportunity to be in UP are so naive of the things that make the school stand out! UP isn't just an institution focused on the acads... it also strengthens the students' social being. instructors teach the sense of independence for every students. they must have the initiative to capture more of the field outside the four walls of the classroom. got it??

kung ako pangutanon (if school), look for the school which has the most count of better performing students on the average level.

in the end naa rna sa paningkamot sa studyante. wala na sa skul. although the NAME of the school (if planning to work locally), instructors (including minor courses), and facilities are also factors not to mention how each school assemble their comp sci programs, accreditatons, BENEFITS, etc.

    well, UP rules!!!
if you'll make a survey right now, people would prefer to choose this institution.. thus, when it comes to employment, companies would rather choose students with a UP logo on their transcript...

hey, we're just citing points here bro...
    dont get pissed off either...
everyone seems to have fun here...
and you could not blame a few of the "newbies"
if they seem too proud of their school...
of course, they're from UP and the prestige is with them---
social stigma as they call it...
i believe no ones bragging here...
    and lemme quote,
"its your chosen response on a certain stuff
    that somehow affects you"...

now dont get offended will you?!
now this is funny! why dont ya read on your post first and try to convince yourself. hahaha peace out. fun? i don't see anything on the thread title relating to fun. there's a HUMOR section here on istorya.net though why don't you post there.

and could you state those companies?

oh and incase you people are wondering why I suggested guides, its coz I'm also interested to know what are the pros that each institution offers. I'm planning to send my niece to a comp sci program and just like the thread starter, I'm convinced that cebuanos are intelligent people and are not nonsensical.

UP is not a good school for an average person.

Mostly self-taught? Unsa na diay purpose sa school gyud name lang?

We are talking about a good school for an average person. Go for CIT, USC-TC, UC and others.. =)

As some have stated....depende ra man sad na sa student if willing pud mo learn!! True, dli gyud i-spoon feed ang tanan nga lessons. As I've experienced, what the university teaches isn't enough for you to compete in the real world. By the time nga mo-work nka, ara na lng ka mka-realize nga there's tons of languages you hoped you could have learned when you were still studying...hehe =)

UP, USJ-R, and USC are the schools nga so far, nice ang training when it comes to Computer Science...
