i took violin lessons.. dugay na nuon to.. pre-teen years pa ko and it was a short lesson too, not even a semester. and i never figured how to do vibrato. i tried doing it, pero mo-apil man ug vibrate ako ulo ug upper body. hehehehe.. mura ko'g ga-kirig-kirig. ambot unsaon na's mga expert violinists.. maka-vibrate lagi ang ila kamut, di ma-apektuhan ang lawas.

it would take more than a semester to learn vibrato. if you continue on playing, you'll learn it in time.

Hilary Hahn is quite good. I like her violin music, in fact her songs are illegally put in the last 2 movies I made...

It hurts that naai IPR kana na music so if i enter ni nako sa Oscars, I'm gonna have to remove James Newton Howard and Hilary Hahn's music...

Speaking of violins, have you seen those two rap dudes that played violins? I saw them on Conan O'Brien's show last time. I was thinking... classical instrument and hip hop music? Hmm...

I know how to play the Violin.... My friend once loaned me a 60 year old Stradivarious copy of a violin.... haaayyy, lami kaayo i play... it's like driving a Jaguar.....

Sullen, Cebu Youthh Symphony Orchestra, which was supposed to become the Cebu Philharmonic Orhcestra is now known as Peace Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO).....

I would have joined that group way back high school together with a friend, but I realized -- wouldn't it be better to play solo? hahahahahahahahahahahaha...

I had a private tutor... Nick Amolong was his name.. He used to play at Marriot and Waterfront... At Waterfront, he played together with Mark Leccionness of the defunct CYSO -- I'm not quite sure kung si Leccionnes ba jud tu...

They are also violin makers (kuno..)... Naa sila somewhere Mambaling but I lost the contacts.. In fact, ingun daw siya nga siya ra ang violin maker sa Cebu....

I started first year high school... I used to watch the concerts of CYSO because one the Salas would give us free tickets (family friend man ang anak ni Ingrid Sala i think...)

just to verify, mark lecciones is not a person. you might have meant either marc mercado or rey lecciones, both of which used to be concertmasters of the then CYSO, now PPP (Peace Philharmonic Philippines). PPO is the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.
