    That piece of prime land in Banilad is not a squatters area anymore if what the papers say are true that payments are already made by the homeowners. Although about 30% (if my figures are right) of the homeowners have fully paid the full amount previously agreed in the past administration while the rest have still outstanding balance. Yet, the lots of those who have fully paid are not turned over nor awarded by the province. Only Gwen had reneged on the agreement made between the homeowners and the province. This agreement were honored by previous governors. Si Gwen ra ang dili mo honor. Nasilaw ba kaha kini sa salapi nga ipalit sa mga developer nianang luna-a? Remember that the ultimate bereficiary of progress are the people. Dili man tingale mga tawo ang namuyo anang mga luna-a kay wala man i-honor sa governor. Kini usa lang ka pangutana.

    so, you're saying this boils down to kwarta? i dunno ha but it seems gwen is bent on earning more money for the province and even boasted of a 2 billion surplus... sa ato pa, wa pa gyud siya matagbaw? yes i've read somewhere that some of those candidate for evictions had paid in full already but she wouldn't issue them their title... WHY?

    @nab_uang

    i hope they will cos in the end, whatever that the outcome of this row, either kitang mga cebuano makadaug or mapusoy ani

    I agree with goryo13, according to some insiders in the Capitol, careful lang si Gwen ining pag award ug certificates ining mga giingon nga nakabayad na. The reason is that gisiguro ni Gwen nga tinuod gyud nga nakabayad kay basin ug dunay uban ini nila nga fraudulent ang mga recibo. Kihanhanglan nga sutaan gyud kung genuine ba gyud ni sila nga nakabayad and Gwen will eventually issue the certificates. Usahay man god daghan ug modus operandi ang Pinoy mao nga lisod usahay 100% nga motoo ka sa claims labi na nga ang 1/3 sa gidaghanon wa gyud diay mamayad. In short cautious lang cguro ang governor mao nga makig deal cya sa mga beneficiaries without the middlemen (City Hall).

    And I do agree with Tomas that Gwen had a change of heart because Gwen might have realized now the potential of the SRP to bargain provincial properties in value-for-value deal. Dakog puruhan sakto si Tomas nga gigamit lang ni Gwen nga excuse ang insulto nga ilang nadawat gikan sa taga city-hall nga dawat nalang ang provinsya ug limpyo.

    As you know Gwen before she entered politics was already a succesful businesswoman. If I can remember it right, she was worth 90M in her SAL when she ran for governor. So ug interasado si Gwen sa SRP nga i baylo sa provincial properties, dili ikatinga. She may have some plans to make the province richer.

    So duna koy akong personal nga proposal. Ug mao man gani ni duda ni Tomas and if he is dead right sa real motives ni Gwen, nganong di man niya sakyan si Gwen? What about giving Gwen what she wants on the condition nga kinahanglan nga i develop dayon sa provinsya ang maong property. Daghan man kaha ug surplus nga kuarta ang provinsya. 2 Billion is more than enough to start developing prime properties like SRP. Kung makapabarog ug topnotch hotels ang provincya diha as business investement kay tourism man god kaha ang Cebu, madato ang provinsya plus as taxes nga i charge unya sa city hall kung unsay investment nga makuha nila diha makasapi sad ang City Hall. Plus mga services pa unya so, win-win situation. Mohatag si Tomas sa North reclamation plus sa SRP, bisag asa makasapi gihapon ang cityhall kay maka invest man dayon ang Capitol kay naghinobra god ang kuarta nila unya walay utang.

    Unya maayo pa ang relasyon sa usag usa. THis way, winner tanan.
