oh c'mon, i don't think they'd release dota2 as pay2play because if it do then it would be outshadowed by LoL and HoN... Not to mention DIABLO 3! Pay2play = ripoff and not worth paying for. But it's based on my opinion so let's see what's gonna happen?

haha katawa ko sa mga arguments dinhi dah. If by chance naa jud ni presyo duwa.a, only the core gamers would buy this, limiting the chance of growth for the Dota2 community. Even so, I expect this game to be better than HON and LOL.

The game will be free to play and unlike HoN, you do not need to purchase heroes.
More details will be released in the future once the in-game shop is included in the main Dota 2 beta.

Dota 2 isn't a copy of HoN... icefrog had in mind the graphics enhancement... it's just that he had no sponsor to make the game.
