so is that enough to hate tagalogs? this type of thinking is becoming similar to that of the nazis towards the jews.Originally Posted by arnelmation

i've seen people post saying that we tagalogs think we are superior than the bisaya, what a bunch of bull$41t. We certainly do not think that we are superior than people from the Visayas. Personally, most of my friends are cebuanos, my employees are cebuanos, my clients are cebuanos, i even had to learn the language just so I could somehow fit in the cebuano society. Heck, my children are cebuanos by birth!
But like in any province, some ignorant fool does think he is better, i have certainly encountered a couple. these incidents should not make us judgemental about people from certain parts of the country.

Originally Posted by kobmat
Originally Posted by pnoize2k4

Before we say UNITY, we must take a look at the deeper meaning of it. Pila lang gani ta
kabu-ok nag discuss dili na ta mag ka sinabot how much more if we include the whole population of the Philippine Republic?
I believe, we should listen and respect each individual opinion and make considerations to meet our goal. We have different principles and faith on each individual and i think the key is team work and faith. Mura bag nag brain storming ang group then collect all ideas then select the best to come up with the solution. Sakto ba mga bro?
My point is, we should aim only one goal and that goal is UNITY. Should we figure out how to meet that goal?
My answer is yes! but how?,..... that's the question?,........ and When?
Everyone should understand this two words. Prejudice and Discrimination
http://www.colorado.edu/conflict/pea...m/prejdisc.htm
Prejudice and discrimination are negative manifestations of integrative power. Instead of bringing or holding people together, prejudice and discrimination push them apart. Ironically, even prejudice and discrimination imply some sort of relationship, however. If there is no relationship people would be completely unaware of another person's or group's existence. When there is any relationship at all--even a negative one--there is some integration. Kenneth Boulding referred to this as "disintegrative power"-"the integration that is achieved through hatred, fear, and the threat of a common enemy." (Boulding, 1989, p. 62.) This is seen in military patriotism, in nationalism, and in any situation of "negative identity" in which one group defines itself in terms of what it is not. This tends to lead into a "pathological situation of internal violence, often perpetuated through the family itself." While this is especially obvious and destructive when it occurs on a large scale--as it did in the Balkans, Somalia, Sri Lanka, or the Middle East--it also occurs on smaller scales as well, when one group holds negative stereotypes of another group and discriminates against members of that group based on those stereotypes.
Respect one another's opinion.
No calling names.
No labelling.
