Essential equipment for a photo hobbyist?

If you would like to turn pro and start a living out of photography then get all the equipments that will serve well in your chosen field.

For general photography, I suggest get at least 2 bodies (1 body will do), lens? 50mm f1.8, 18-200mm f3.5-5.6, flash gun and you're ready to go.

Im not a pro just a hobbyist and a photog major and below are my real life porns:

Its not even confirmed yet boss koto. And I doubt if Nikon will go full frame.. But only time can tell.

hopefully they'll have a press release this year end. can;t wait to see and test new toys at the pma '07 convention in vegas this coming march. any of you photo enthusiasts will be going?
